I got this in today's AVweb AVflash (6.30a)
LOCAL BOYS MAKE GOOD: Saturday, July 29, marks the dedication ceremony
for new stained-glass windows at the historic 13th-century church in
Remy, France. The windows were destroyed when an allied P-51 of the
383rd Fighter Squadron obliterated a German munitions train hidden in
the town. The memory of that day will be celebrated by surviving
citizens of Remy and the 383rd fighter squadron.
NOTE: AVweb's Newswire http://www.avweb.com/newswire/news0030a.html (http://www.avweb.com/newswire/news0030a.html)
includes a link to the Web site commemorating the Remy mission.
Thought I would post it for everyone who's interested
