We've got a default green/green and then there's a custom skin for brown/green...
Search as I might I cannot find any other Ta152 skins... Was it in service for so short a time period that there was so little variation in its paint scheme? Or what?
Anybody got any interesting Ta152 paint schemes/profiles?
-
Only other one I could find besides the two already in game.
Found two profiles of this so the half cross on the fuselage isn't a mistake as both had it done that way.

Hrm.... That's pretty close to the default skin we have now...
Crap. Okay I guess I won't do a Ta152 skin :(

Moot those colors schemes in your images are suspect at best...

Go on then, skin another generic scheme...
-
Bruno, the bottom 2 profiles you showed are already in game. The top one is the same as the one I posted and is the only one I could find not in the game.
It appears there aren't that many Ta152s to go around. Then again there weren't that many that ever saw combat :)

I am not sure what you mean by 'generic' Moot. I guess as opposed to 'made up' or in 'factory colors' the above schemes maybe 'generic' but they are correct.
Here's an image of V5 in factory colors and it looks nothing like the scheme in the images you posed. I can scan V3 as well in you want.

Guppy,

I posted Gelbe 1 because in shows top down for the wings and has a color palette included. This will make it easier for whom ever skins it.
As you can see the the colors differ a bit between the two profiles.
Here's a scan showing the camo on the wings:

Who ever skins it can choose what colors they want.
You are correct in that you wont find Ta-152 skins that vary greatly. There just wasn't that many of them and they were all in one squadron.
I posted this in another thread:
In Reschke's book he wrote they never had more than 16 Ta-152s at one time. The largest number flown in one sortie (staffel strength) was 12 took place on 2 Mar '45.

Easier to read and found on the web here:
Einsatzbereitschaft im Bereich Luftflotte Reich (http://www.ww2.dk/articles/elflr1.html)
Scroll to the bottom.
What this tells us is that of 11.4.45 there were a total of 6 serviceable Ta-152s. 3 assigned to Stab./JG 301 and 3 assigned to III./JG 301.
The translation of the chart is as follows:
Flgz = Aircraft
Besatzung = crew or pilots
Soll = number of aircraft (equipment) assigned
Ist = actual amount, usually this figure differs from the upper
eins = einsatzbereit = serviceable/ working. Can either be given in actual number or percentage. Here its clear the 3 is actual number.
So we can conclude as this date Stab./JG 301 had 7 Ta-152s but only 3 serviceable.
III./JG 301 had 6 Ta-152s and only 3 serviceable.(13/6)
Here is the production figures with work numbers for the Ta152H´s:
Ta152H-0 Work Number: 150001 to 150020: production by Focke Wulf at Cottbus. (19)
Ta152H-1 Work Number: 150021 to 150040, 150167 to 15169: production by Focke Wulf at Cottbus. Many more Ta152 H-series planned but not build., although possible one Ta152H-2 build at Cottbus. (21/1)
Source: "Focke Wulf 190, Production Line To Frontline" by Malcolm V. Lowe
19 Ta152H-0´s,
21 Ta152H-1
1 Ta152H-2.

Man that thing looks like such a hot rod... too bad its such a pig in the game =P
I guess that only applied to alts under 30,000 ft :lol
-
It was a hotrod ;)
The Pilots praised it at all altitudes they flew and fought at (mostly low). See my quote down bellow ;)
Besides, 472mph top speed at high alt is what I'd call hotrod :D
-
Yes but the way AH makes it totally unstable at low speeds doesn't mesh with reality. It's got a wing WAY longer than the D9, it's got FAR more surface area, thus less wing loading. And yet it can't turn worth a crap. In reality, the dora turned better than the 190A, so the larger wing and lower wing loading of the 152 should make this thing turn like a hurricane, compared to a dora, but it can't do squat. It's modeled as a typical vertical fighter (like the 109s in AH1). It's rate of climb sucks totally, about 2000 fpm without wep (NO other single engined fighter climbs slower than this -- hell I think the p40B outclimbs it).
I don't think the current modeling does this monster any justice.
-
It was better in AH1.
I used to kill average to good N1K, spit9 and 47/51s with more or less disciplined use of its qualities... Even had some really good fights with certain 38 sticks, but in AH2, the new FM killed it.
Fariz and other good sticks confirmed this.
And I dont mean BnZ.
-
Yup I agree to the most part.
-
Yeah.. yeaaaaars back before I ever flew it I was in an HTH room and there was a decent furball going. A couple of good sticks were fighting each other amidst the other players, and one of them decided to take a ta152 (vs a 109 or some other 190 I don't know). He was totally surprised how well it flew (AH1) and said something along the lines of "This thing can hang on its nose forever!". At the time I thought this was due to a powerful engine, and thought no more of it, but I remembered the comment.
EDIT: And they're going to visit the idea of "unperking it"... hah! They should visit the idea of "fixing it", if ya ask me.
