Good luck, guys. My thoughts are with you; my parents lost their home in Mississippi due to Katrina, so I know the kind of devastation a hurricane brings. Keep safe.

I hear ya TK. we have always lived in the tropics. many years ago my dad taught us how to secure our home for hurricanes beginning with the roof truss fasteners then the windows and doors. no home he has owned or any that his children have owned have ever been structurally damaged by hurricanes. we have ridden all of them out. getting on the expressways is madness unless you do it a week prior to event and most folks just can't do that. accurately predicting landfall is all but impossible. the local governments are caught between the sword and stone when hurricanes threaten, on the one hand you must advise evacuation on the other whether or not it hits you get egg on your face. I'm glad you guys weren't hit
