Ive never laughed so hard as I did tonight reading channel 200...Some of the comments were hilarious

"Thats BS and only something that could happen in a SIM...that A320 was waaaaay to over modeled and shoulda been an immediate ditch to tower"

and my favorite.........."FEMA will be at LAX in 3 weeks"

LOL. I was watching the news while at work. But, I wish I had been logged into AH now that I read cav's post.
to the Jet Blue crew! And, a big WTG to the manufacturers of the plane. I was impressed with how the gear remained in tact.

They could off pulled they plane right up to the gate. amazing landing.

After it was all over, everyone had safely exited the plane, and the Mayor's Limo got him to LAX for the photo opp, the Mayor was filmed congratulating the pilot on a wonderful landing etc. etc. etc.
The pilot replied, "Well, Mayor, it wasn't really THAT good. I looked and what was left of the nose gear was six inch's off centerline."
Sounded to me like a retired military response, somebody just doing his job in the most professional manor possible, and using all the training he had received.
Truely a skilled and humble man.
