Post by: Hangtime on September 23, 2005, 10:02:20 AM
Mad scramble at the 9th ward in New Orleans... levees being 'overtopped' already.. 1 day before Rita arrives on the coast!

The areas already been 'depopulated'... seems no risk to lives in the area.

If I wuz a religious man, I'd say that New Orleans is on God's Hit List.

Where exactly was Teh Boosh when water started coming over the levee?

More importantly, where was his puppetmaster, the Eevile Dr. Cheney? Was he or was he not at his underground fortress operating the deadly Hurricane Generator?

Were any Halliburton employees near the levee when it overtopped?

Enquiring minds want to know.

Boosh is de Devil.

God snuffs, NO.

Boosh defies God, takes responsibility.

Refugees bussed to Texas.

God snuffs Texas.

I'm wondering where they took all the NO evacuee's they've just bussed out of Texas.

I would not want to go there.

To bad rita isnt going to hit NO dead on.

I think it would be better to trash an area already trashed then another area.

It would suck for the people who live their but most of their houses are gone anyway.

And the fact that they are inside a boat railing, but you cannot see anymore of the boat. Also notice the heavy mustang survival jacket GB Sr. is wearing and the jacket Jr. is wearing, too hot in NO for that.

Grun pioneered that schtick three years ago.

When Hang posts about a flood, and the very next reply is yours, fending off non-existent attacks on Bush, then... well you know what I'm talkin' about buddy. If in doubt, read the first two posts again. You're practically a zealot.

I'm totally bored with the blame game. The practitioners have become so ridiculous that they've made themselves into a common joke.

Think of it as a pre-emptive strike.

Whatever, Nash.

They've become a caricature.

They wasted their effect by crying "wolf" (or "teh BOOOSH") too many times. Way too many times.

Sad, really.
Title: blub, blub, blub...
Post by: Nash on September 24, 2005, 03:47:28 AM
Lol.

Yeah Toad, how "sad."

Oh what a pitty.

Crying wolf, it always ends bad.

But explain to me the effect of crying wolf and being right every damned time?

It gets to the point where the town folk are sick of being proved wrong, and are sick of getting their herd decimated.... but are too damned proud to admit that some kid has been telling them all along. So they just make up all sorts of weird stuff, and send the boy packin'.

Nash, just what in hell is your problem?

Your bitter frustration with the blame game? Or do you entertain some ridiulous notion that the US Government is responsible for hurricanes? (an absurd postulation I've seen posted in serious commentary on these boards)

You might be better served by eyeballing where the posion is, and direct yer diatribes at those that have earned the distinction of being blitering idiots by their posts on the subject.

Im having my morning coffe with CNN, and have been following it for a couple of hours now.

The reporter in Lumberton, Texas is standing in a parking lot screaming thru his mic because of the winds.. If he takes three steps then he is in cover (as he has shown us) and can talk in a normal voice and be out of danger.

Why is he then staying were its the hardest to hear him? Is he looking for some reward?

Is that right, Pooh? Because excuse me, but I don't recall you ever taking issue with with me. In fact, I don't recall you at all.

So....

If you gotta problem with something, then speak up. If you just wanna take a pot shot from the sidelines then why waste everyone's time?

Go ahead, Pooh... latch onto something I've written and test me.

Title: blub, blub, blub...
Post by: Nash on September 24, 2005, 05:00:04 AM
Yeah, I got a question.

If you don't mind, of course.

What drives a man to belittle another man for past mistakes?

Is it because you have none? Is it because you cannot concieve of another messing up his life and trying to mend it?

Is it because you simply can't entertain the notion that mistakes are not a permanent weight?

What is it with you?

What makes you so special....

I have no idea about yer's

Silly me.

Ya know what, Pooh? Don't give me advice a la "might wanna deal the rhetoric back"...

I dont need to wear my fingers out, thats what I got a cast Iron skillet for, thanks to 80s commercials, anytime someone says something I dont like, I whip that ol bad boy out and fire me up some nummy, sunny side up eggs.

Ok... I can play... let's call a spade a spade (can you say spade in here?)

Nash you are a stalker... and angry and mean spirited one at that...

I guess canadian liberals must be like American ones if you are an example.... All hip and humorous and such until someone starts calling you on stuff that you have no real answer for then...

The spittle flying hate filled meanstreak comes out... The crying when someone attacks you while at the same time attacking....

"What drives a man to belittle another man for past mistakes?"

pathetic... man up and take responsibility.   Your past mistakes will allways be there... You better learn to accept that people are gonna trust you less and trust will be slower because of em.

I love that. Some dumb reporter in a parking lot yelling into a microphone "This is what a cat 4 hurricane is like!!!!"

Wrong. That's what an idiot without enough sense to get in out of the rain is like. Now if you were to place your home and all your possessions in that parking lot and watch them slowly strip away as you  try to duct tape them together, well that's what a category 4 hurricane is like.

Typically you jump to an unproven statement and expect everyone to accept it as gospel. It's your standard second round move.

They haven't been right every time. It's that simple.

And some of their attacks have been so stupid... as Hang pointed out... that they totally blew their credibility by being unrelentingly stupid.

I dunno, it looks like a lot of fun to me.  Getting paid for it is an added bonus.

Kudos to the CNN guy who saw a US flag get torn off its flagpole and managed to retrieve it.
