one thing that amazes me in this sim is the lack of gun jams.
It was not that uncommon of an event for some planes. For example, the P-51B was notorious for its 50's jamming due to its thin wing and the 4 50 cal guns having to be mounted at an angle.
On bombers, guns could jam due to overheating or cold conditions at high alt.
When a pilot laid down sustained fire, the guns would often overheat and jam.
I think it would add an interesting bit of "realism" to the game. Imagine, an AH Ace having to run and save their planes due to their guns jamming.
The idea is not that disimilar from getting shot down by puffy ack. You fly through it...theres a chance of getting hit. You pull the trigger....theres a chance of a jam.

Make it selectable. You could turn it on and I could elect to leave it off.
Personally, if my guns jammed I would auger and get a new plane.
