One of the people in my office flats with a guy whose sister is in Afghanistan. He got an email in the last couple of days. She is praying the US will come and bomb the crap out of the place.

Apparently Afghanistan is screwed, its sort of like when Cambodia was ruled by Pol Pot. Afghani widows are raped and buried alive as a matter of course. The economy is screwed, there is no medical facilities. The Taliban rule is murdered people on a daily basis.

Sounds like a fair number of the people of Afghanistan would welcome a US attack.
