Title: What do you think?
Post by: SaburoS on September 27, 2005, 12:58:47 PM
If, and that's a big if, the article is true, do you support what allegedly happened?

Do you think this could lead to a more "controlling - nanny type state" government or less?

Election "Improprieties" (http://www.harpers.org/ExcerptNoneDare.html)

Personally I think the election's over and nothing will really happen.

A quick glance at the author's blog will explain why this piece seems so partisan ....  it is.

http://www.markcrispinmiller.blogspot.com/

Excerpt: "Americans of faith—a silent majority heretofore unmoved by any other politician—had poured forth by the millions to vote “Yes!” for Jesus’ buddy in the White House. "

I find sentences like this offensive, even though I have a thick skin and I'm not particularly religious.  It is a sure sign that the author is not able to prove his argument. The people who made the allegations simply did not make thier case.  That is why the world has moved on.

But, I still think its a good idea to be vigilant when it comes to election fraud.

Yeah, good point. I hate it when writers go over the top. It's just not necessary. When trying to "prove" a point, the avg reader tends to not even read the whole article.

I just glossed over it but it was the first "real" article (not a blog entry) on possible election fraud that I've seen.

If it is what he's trying to say, then it is a scary thing.
