Saw him at Burke Lakefront this summer at the Cleveland Air Show.  That dude is fluff'n SICK!  He pulled some stunts that would make the likes in here whine about FMs and Physics for years to come!

FM is way over modeled, airfoils cannot fly at a 90 degree angle threw the air

how he can tumble like that and still maintain some sort of orientation of you and your surroundings is amazing. He's literelly a stones throw away from the ground at some points inverted making a pass and right after going through some insane set of tumbles or snap rolls. i try that in aces high and i auger :lol

He's one of the best for a reason...

Practice and a lot of gas money.

They rebuild that plane every year.  There are always some cracked ribs etc.  He flies the sizznit out of that thing.  There's no replacement for small airframes, loads of power and lots of skill!!

Someday... LOL

I'll be reading about him in the obituaries no doubt...  Was awesome stuff, really enjoyed how long he was hanging on prop.

yeah also, that guy can really fly. i rekon in secret he can do it without even a plane just sorta hover and swish about with his arms out.

Anybody ever watched these Pitts Specials at airshows and wondered what it woulda been like to mount a couple of machine guns on them and time warp back to WWI - with the Sopwiths and Fokkers?

Come on, I can't be the only one.........

or could I?

i thought about taking modern bipes back to WW1, but i came to the conclusion that our bipes are generally ugly as sin compared to the real deal back then.

but yeah, you would kick booty.

Ummmmmm

No matter where you are in the air.
You are literally a stones throw from the ground.:)

Which is where he is going to eventually end up in a very hard way.

As Filth just said.

Only a matter of time

I see that with FW-A5 everyday in the MA.  Just get on their 6, and you get a  show better than that.

Not to get to aeronautical but...as long as there is air moving across the airfoil, there is some component of lift.  Granted it is small and most likely oriented horizontaly and not vertically but the component is still there.  Also the rudder (when plane is 90 degrees to ground) actually adds a small portion of vertical lift.

Is it me or did that sound WAY to geekish.....

Sean Tucker is by far the best on the circuit.  Just watching him makes me ill.

Sean Tucker flies a really good technical show, but if you want to see crazy go watch Jim Leroy sometime. He flies the Bulldog Pitts Special. Yellow plane with black trim. This guy is insane, and he makes Tucker look like he is just tooling around the sky. They were both at the NAS Oceana air show a few years ago and Jim Leory stole the show.

I saw Sean Tucker perform in the mid '90's when he was flying his black and yellow bipe, and someone made the same comment.  I had my mouth wide open the whole time I was watching him.  He was by far the best performer at that airshow.  He has definately been cheating death for a long time now.

Just watched it. Thought it was another clip I had seen a while ago.
No biggie. I've seen all that stuff  and even more hairy things many times before at the Sussex airshow her in NJ Even saw 3-4 doing it at the same time that looked remarkably similar to or own furballs.

Didnt see but one or two things in that clip that cant be done in the MA.
