Title: Whats a good Wheel combo for Nascar 3 ?
Post by: airspro on April 02, 2001, 03:38:00 PM: My friend at work is a Nascar nut and he is a pretty new PC user too .

What would u recommend ? USB would be nice to ease install etc , but not if you would lose the "feel" etc . I can't hold a line to save my bellybutton but it's really not my sport (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

I remember quite a few here did both though .

Post by: john9001 on April 02, 2001, 05:53:00 PM: i have a logitech wingman formula force, it's a force feed back wheel and pedals, it has a usb adaptor pig tail so you can set it up either way, costs about $150 but works great

I'd recomend ditching N3 and getting N4.. totally awesome game.

Only reason I told him 3 was he bought the "afordable" Dell pc and it's a 700 celery , with intergrated 8 mb intell v card (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif) so don't know how 4 would run ?

Hey I really liked the Legends demo , was like I was a little boy again , hehe ( got pics sitting with the neighbor boys racing our slot cars when LeMans was on the TV ). Does that work at all with D3D ?

Also , u all say the 4 version is awsome , whats the major change ?

Post by: LuckyDay on April 03, 2001, 03:18:00 PM: I'm sure he'll need a better video card, I got 15-20 fps on my old machine - a celeron 400 with a Voodoo3 PCI. It will probably run with all the details turned down, but for another $150 he can get a GeForce2 MX or ATI Radeon that should work help. More RAM can't hurt either.

I bought back my old TM GT wheel (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) , much better than a joystick . I am 30 % into the demo for N4 , screenshots look great . Plus have ordered GPL , I found it on Amazon.com , the resellers had it for 13 bucks plus 5 to ship .
