I watched it a second time the next day too Hawk... in fact I burned a copy as well.

I really liked the fact that they showed scenes from the streets of Berlin, it made the thing so darn real.

Anyway...I'm glad it won an Academy for best foreign film...it was definately worthy.

Did you watch it the second time so you could watch Bruno Gantz facial expressions, good god he does deserve an award.

Just wish I could of seen more russian soldiers, I liked how they had 100's of them just following one another towards the SS.

I thought it was excellent, but it's one of those movies you watch once and then loan to all your friends and don't watch again for 5 years. It's emotionally draining, the desperation and delusion. Not to mention that just about everybody is killed. Never thought I could feel pity for a bunch of Nazis and least of all Hitler, but this movie does a good job of making you feel sorry for them as a human and then turning 180 and renewing your hate for the system they had invented and the actions that they had perpetrated.
