I recently got them for my birthday and I am hearing sound from the rear speakers and a little from the sub woofer. My sound card has 3 colour coded spots for the plugs like the book says but the bottom 2 (green and orange) don't have any effect. Anyone know whats wrong, besides the fact that they are Logitech (seem to be good speakers if they'd work)..

Have you spent any time with your sound car program, usually good sound cards come with a program to adjust the sound, speaker to speaker, etc.

How do I mess around with my sound card setting? COntrol panel>sounds and audio devices>speaker settings>advanced>5.1 surround sound? Thats as far as I have gotten. Reviewing instructions....

If your sound card came with it's own audio programs, you would make adjustments there.
I have a Creative card, and after installing the software, I have Creative sound programs that include the ability to ajust speaker systems, balance, etc.
Look for something like that in your Start/Programs list.

5.1 surround sound seems to have the same diagram as the amount of speakers I have, so I have it selected. Still not noticing anything though. Could Avrack be the audio program? If it is I think it got deleted at some point....

After reviewing, the sub woofer MIGHT be the problem. The rear speaker plugs work, if I plug the front speaker's into them, they work. So only the top outlet on my sound card works I guess, the speakersare all fine when I plug in the plugs to the top(black) hole. Bottom (yellow) hole works for my mic. The center hole appears to have no use at all. So these suckers are going back or i'm finding a sound card that will support em.
P.S. how do I check how many chanels a sound card has?
