You've read my post called "Tree Hugging Hippie Crap"...now, time to test yourself.
Be honest, and post your scores, liberals too!

10 of 10 here. :D
-
9 of 10, I am so embaresked ;)
Did you ever read an book I believe called "Fallen Angels"? It told the story of a future where all enviormental issues were addressed and the manmade pollutants were reduced to next to nothing, the result was an Ice age swept the earth.
:D

I got an 8.
I would like to know the source for this statement: "Termites release 10 times more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere annually than all fossil fuel burning combined."
-
8 out of 10
but then again I live in Florida, I demand a recount :)
-
10 out of 10.
Though.. I had to laugh at the CO2 question. That one cracked me up. I didn't know people were touting carbon dioxide as a problem nearly as much as carbon monoxide. I wonder how much plants like carbon monoxide?

9 outta 10. and I answered too fast on the one I missed, I knew the freakin answer.
-
8 out of 10, but I'm still going to enjoy watching Mother Nature ream all those "ostriches" ;)
-
8 here
-
10 out 0f 10, but much of it is misleading in its language and conclusions.
-
carbon monoxide is unstable , it wants another oxygen atom to make carbon dioxide, which is stable.
thats why carbon monoxide will kill you , it takes the oxygen out of your blood.
plants take in carbon dioxide, use the carbon and give off the oxygen
-
4 out of 10 and damn proud of it!! :D

10/10 but agree with karnak.
It's relatively easy to create tests that further one's agenda; being selective about the questions is all it takes.
-
A scientific test that comments on Dan Rather and the media? Come on... :)
You know about the bad polling done in elections... ie. "If you found out that Bush was a actually a wife beater, would you be less likely to vote for him?"
Same thing.
-
I got 0 out of 10!!!! However, I think the test was on to me; here's what it said after one question...
Sorry...that is incorrect.
Hey! You're just being silly now, aren't you.
That was in reference to me saying the Renaissance was responsible to global cooling.

8 of 10. Problematic test though. Among other things, it states theories as facts. For example, it presents the idea of regular cycles of warming and cooling based on astronomical regularities. The generally accepted theory is that these are not natural "cycles" but are the damping of oscillations left from the "nuclear winter" effect of the KT impact. (That's the one 65 million years back near the Yucatan that smacked down the dinosaurs). The "Little Ice Age" was the last dip and any such move towards cooler temperatures should be so small as to not be noticeable. Meaning there is, in fact, no future cooling effect to be expected that might counter a warming trend.
Aside from the obvious bias in the "test", it really begs the point of whether there is danger of human activity triggering a runaway greenhouse effect. It simply makes some points about scientific facts and then assumes common sense will bring you to a specific conclusion (at least, that's what I think the creator of the test expects). The problem with "common sense" is that it is seldom common and often does not make sense.

Didn't count... but I think I got a 6/10.
And I agree with Karnak, StSanta, and Yoj. That "test" definitely had an agenda.
-
Sure, the test had an agenda, like the national evening news across America does, difference being, this one had all the links to scientific information, whereas the eveniing news just gives you 'their' opinion, and in most cases, only give you half the story. :)
-
I don't disagree Rip - anyone who gets his facts from TV gets what he deserves anyway. However, the "test" also didn't give all the information. In fact it gave very little.
