Title: Looking for a squadron interview
Post by: Mister Fork on October 04, 2005, 08:12:15 PM
Hey all,

I'm writing an article for COMBATSIM.COM (http://www.combatsim.com) but I would like to interview/fly-with an experienced squad in Aces High.  Looking for Main Arena, Combat Theatre, and SEA experience.  PM if you would like your squad interviewed/featured on combatsim.

My squad flies in the MA.  They are sometimes very crude, I don't know if it'll be good interview material.

The Blue Knights are ver respectable and helpful through out the Main Arena. We run both rutine Jabo Missions hosted by Mars01 and also bomber missions hosted by Leviathn. Although our squad can be overly strict at times. We are a well rounded bunch, just looking to help out where need, be it troop carrier transport or base resuply.

I will have my squad commander, Todd/Leviathn get in touch with you.

Wings of Terror will host ya on the Rooks.

Most of the guys were 441 and 416 in a prior life, but the same crew stuck it out for the most part. Pretty diverse group - got an awacs controller out of Elmendorf who moved over to Spooky's the past month. MC130 Combat Talon chief who loves the BLU-82, SHawk, Heretik, FX, Myself, Hondo - a tremendous depth of personalities and experience.

Let me know the details.

Mr. Fork,

Fire Over Malta scenario is gearing up.  It would be great to have you in the event :)

The MA has a Ton of quality squads, and a few flocks of dweebs, but there are many to interview.

Friday Squad Ops is full of very active and dedicated Squadrons as well, and would provide a good cross section of player styles from the MA to Events.

Check out the III/JG44 Night Hawks. Over 50 members in the squad. 2 Fighter flights, 1 Heavy Fighter flight, 1 Bomber Flight, and the new Panzer Division. Each flight has it's own CO, XO, and Tactical Officer, who report to the Squadron CO (1177), XO (Doobs), and Tactical Officer (Knuckels). We also have Team Nighthawks Air Racing team.

Heres the link to our website.http://www.geocities.com/luftwaffe_1177/ (http://www.geocities.com/luftwaffe_1177/)

Who's the Combat Talon guy in your squad? We have a guy who flies out of Florida, he's been on C-130's for, well, he'd probably rather not have me tell how long. Suffice to say his career started in Vietnam in helicopters.

By the way, you are welcome to interview the 327th Steel Talons, we have a wide variety of less than savory characters, dweebs, cherrypickers, vulchers, fun police, and general miscreants. The 327th has been together for a long time, it dates back to AW, and some original members still remain (they're losers, have no real life, and nowhere else to go).

SkipZ is the MC130 Loadmaster. Fugazi is the now former GCI on E-3's out of Elmendorf and now at Hurlburt with SkipZ learning the AC130 and how to blow **** up for living.

One guy you should talk to is BGSam Sr. he's been an AH'er for 5 years, as he's constantly reminding us.

I suggest staying as far away as you can from the BK's.

Sure, we would be happy to have you fly along whenever you wish.  A Friday Night FSO, Sunday Squad Ops, or just about any evening is kewl.  Mares have been around since '96, migrated from AW to AH in '01, just a bunch of old farts ;).  E-mail below, drop me a line if you wish.
