Hrm... I was watching that F6F fight, and it occured to me... There are many times when you're in a similar plane, or the same plane, in a 1v1 where you're both low and slow and neither is in position for a shot. Many times this devolves into rolling scissors and the like.

One trend I noticed: It is MORE likely to keep you out of the enemie's gunsight to KEEP going in the same direction you're going in, than it is to try and reverse directions (hoping to throw the enemy off, I guess), because that ends up giving the enemy a chance to set up that perfect kill shot.

Just thought I'd share that observation. I never really noticed it til I was watching those F6Fs over and over again.

Question for you Nomak, I watched the film of you vs SirLoin and noticed your nose was pointed directly at him as you executed your lead turn. Granted there was an unstanding that no shots would be fired until after the merge, but would you expose yourself to the head on shot in the MA?

Having trouble viewing the films. All I get is symbols of type? Would appreciate guide to viewing these films, it has been awhile in doing this properly.
Thanks.

No I would not Max.  Although it doesn't take all that much effort to avoid the HO.  A quick roll or direction change is all that I usually do.

Im hazarding a guess here - but are you using the AH film viewer (found in your AH game folder) to watch the films?

When prompted, SAVE the film to your FILM folder in the AH directory.
It should open properly.

Is it wrong that I was rooting for SirLoin while watching from the perspective of Nomak? With every near-auger I cringed, every time it looked like Nomak was about to get that shot I was thinking "NooOO!!!" and every time SL got the upper hand I was thinking "Get him! Get him!"

Is that wrong of me?

I took all of my films down.  I sensed some backlash from a few community members.  One member even mentioned genital measuring.  If that is what people are feeling/thinking than the films are not doing what they are supposed to do.  They were there for entertainment/learning purposes....if thats not what they are achiving than no reason to have them up.  No big deal really.... just didnt see the point of keeping them posted in that type of atmosphere.

It's a GD shame some peoples egos will now hamper others learning process.   As much as I would like you to ignore thease said people.  I wouldn't want the agrovation either.   :furious

Question would you mind Emailing films to people interested ?

Nope not at all.  Jeff has been great to me about that..... he even gave me my own folder on his space.  I dont think there is any issue there.

Thx though.... Dave

I am just gonna let everything settle for a while.

The problem with e mailing films is that many of them are just to big.

First off thanks for even posting the films.
I cant speak for the other ppl here but i
learned from them greatly. Any one who
would hamper or annoy you for posting
these films for ppl should have their
head examined. I am here to learn
and any learning tool should be cherished.

To many films posted in a short while anyway.
