Dateline Donut Map, October 10th 2005, 11:30PM PDT...........
The Bishop fun killers, reportedly led by Herblife, decide that FighterTown must be all Bish and nothing but Bish. No fun will be allowed for Furballer Freaks! The Bish overran Fighter Town, ruining everyone's else's chance for some fast furballing fights.
By 9:30PM PST the great Rook leader Karaya has had enough of this BS. Despite the fact the Rooks were being pinched on both sides by Nit/Bish attacks, and had even lost any bases near FighterTown, he called upon the Rooks to get it together and retake a series of bases leading directly toward FighterTown, then to jump the forbiddingly high mountains of the Donut Range and retake A21. Many Rooks responded to this call to arms. SHawk brought the WOT . Numerous other Rooks jumped onboard this quest for the Holy Grail of returning FT to the masses.
The quest started with retaking at least one airfield currently controlled by the Bish nearer the donut ring. The battle began with the eventual capture of A33 and A40 after great loss of virtual life. The Rooks are now in position to make a run for A21 but one more piece must be in place for the quest to be successful, Knight alliance. The mountains surrounding FT are too tall for an outside attack to stand a chance against the three closely spaced Bishop bases in FT for a normal attack to be able to maintain momentum through a capture.
Karaya enlists the great Knight leader WmLute in this quest. WmLute jumps at the chance to return the holy lands of FT to all countrys' control. In a very rarely seen event in the MA, the Knights and Rooks unite, declaring a truce and active allied support within the FT ring to defeat the Bish fun killers.
The first wave of Rooks cross the forbidding Donut Ring Mountains. Your writer crossed the DRM in a Goon. At first Bish opposition was light as they could not beleive anyone would be so idiotic as to attempt a capture of FT surrounded by the DRMs. But their resistance quickly gathered as they realized this was a real attempt.
At the same time the first Knight assault wave also crossed the DRMs and met stiff resistance.
The battle at A21 raged. We all wondered if the truce would really work, and to our surprise it did. The first evidence was a Knight P-51 at A-21 working with SHawk to mash the Bish. < A few Rooks had to be educated on how to tell a Bish icon from a Knight icon. However this board will not allow me to post the terms we used when explaining how to tell them apart>. Rooks and Knights fought till their gas ran out. Shawk reportedly crash landed with 16 + kills at A-21. Another Rook had 20.
But to no avail. Herblife, the great defender of Bishop hegemony over fighter town, caught this writer's Goon at 16K over A21 and cut it to pieces. He then landed 5 kills in his 109G-10.
A second wave was called for. This time many more Rooks responded. Karaya continued to work the Red Phone to Knight HQ, coordinating our Allied Attack with WmLute.
This time the Rooks were successful despite suicidal attempts by Bish partisans to up at A-21. Three Rook goons made the daunting trip over the Donut Range Mountains to drop their troops.
Immediately massive numbers of Rooks upped at 21 to flatten 167 and help the Nits retake 193. . Again, Bish fun killers attempted to save FT for just the Bish, but Rook indignation and Nit ferocity was too much for them. The Rooks pounded 193 to dust, vulching the Bish the moment their planes appeard on the runway. This writer's most satisfying moment came when I vulched a P-38 and got the kill message on Herblife.
The Rooks kept the field capped until more Knight fighters and their Goon arrived. It was amazing to see 20 Knight and 20 Rook fighters flying around together without a single friendly fire loss. The Knight goon came in and Rooks left before the auto ack came up.
That left the question of what to do about the Bishop base at 167? A debate raged, some folks wanting to capture it and kick the Bish out of FT for a week. Others called for a continual Vulch green light there for the next week. In the end Karaya and WMLute took the high ground, and the decision was made to let the Bish keep 167 and just vulch them for a while as punishment. The vulching at 167 continued for about 20 minutes with some Bish, notably Fariz, whining on 200 about the vulching at 167 by Rooks and Knights. The whining fell on deaf ears.
FT has been returned to it's rightful owners. Let the Furballing Fun go on!

Hahahaaahaha!
GREAT AAR!
to the participants. Dont let it be said this isnt a great community.
:lol
-
Glad I didn't have time to play last night then. Sunday night was the first time I saw the Donut, and I immediately went to the FT. I really liked it there, it was almost too much fun to handle. Didn't see any attempts to capture any bases during my brief 2 hr session, only heard about a little vulch attempt (rook on knight-only one guilty party), and heard AKAK say he saw bombers (guess they died quickly). All three sides were busy furballing. So what brought all this about??
-
Best AAR so far.
I aplaud all who were involved .

Nice job guys.
Knights and Rooks...flying together. WEIRD.
-
:rofl
Bravo!
-
Woooowoooo!
:lol
-
LOL, good write.
I am sure that the Rooks and Knights "Just Gave" those bases up to begin with. Congrats to the "Day Crew" that took them. I doubt anyone "Teamed Up" with the Bishops to take them. Must have been a good fight, and would be an equally good write up.
And congrats to the Rooks and Knights that took them back. That sweet allocation of resources allowed the Bishops some nice captures on the rest of the map. :D
:aok To the Furballers. We salute you.
LTARsqrl :rofl
-
Just makes you want to yell, "America! **** YEAH!"
-
the Knights and Rooks unite, declaring a truce and active allied support within the FT ring to defeat the Bish fun killers.
And they called it the Rainbow Coalition.
-
...so thats why it feels weird....
-
Sqrl -- I was on when they were taken and they were not just handed over. The bish had a ton of bombers in the air. They leveled each bases hangars and then took their sweet time killing the town (which caused them a bit of problem). The knights were able to defend the first goon drop, but when the bish came back again with multiple formations of low level and mid level bombers with multiple goons, we couldn't withstand that onslaught.
Once the base fell, it was fun getting a fair amount of proxy kills as the bishop were having trouble landing. I think I was up to 8 proxy kills as I walked through the bombed out town. None of the proxies were straffing me, so I'm not sure what was happening.
On a side note, did you know that the 45 cal handgun requires 19 shots to kill a 88 gun?
-
So, the Bishops had to fight a hard battle to take those bases from both the Rooks and the Knights. Coordinating multiple Bombers and Goons. Salute to the Rooks and the Knights for those fights.
However, they did take those bases and without an "Alliance". And I doubt that the Rook/Knight attack force just flew in with a Goon and dropped troops now did they? Bomber or two maybe? More than one Goon drop perhaps?
I am just saying that Rooks and Knights shouldn't toot their horns too loud without recognizing the effort that a single side expended taking those bases.
And back to the main idea, it was still a good write up.
19? Never counted. Always to worried it would turn on me.

LTARsqrl,
Thanks for the compliments on the write up.
However I think you are missing the underlying issue.
FT is for folks who want to get a quick fighter fight in. It's not for GVs, it's not for base captures. There's the whole rest of the map for that.
Second, it's much easier to capture bases in FT when you already have a base there, as the Bish did. The bases are so close that a mission can up and capture an enemy base before the enemy has a chance to mount an organized defense. Once the Bishops captured the other two bases, now it is almost impossible to retake them because of the Donut Ring Mountains surrounding FT. A goon takes 30 minutes to get over those mountains. The assualt force takes at least 15 mins to arrive from outside the mountains. meanwhile the Bish defenders can up from any of three bases and only be 3 mins away.
To retake FT from a single country requires the alliance of the other two countries resources.
I spent 2.5 hours last night flying a freaking goon to retake FT. I would much rather have spent that time battling LTARS outside FT and furballing inside FT for some quick fun.
The bottom line = leave FT for fighting, not capturng!
-
MOSQ, I agree. To me FT is a waste of time. But what I read is that it took both Rooks and Knights to take it back. Rooks and Knights had just as much opportunity to defend those bases in the beginning as the Bishops did. They failed. Then some Bishops monopolized on that and took the bases.
I have never spent time in FT. I believe the game is more like RISK. Capture the map. Why else have Map Rooms? If all players want to do us Furball, buy MS Combat Flightsim 3 and play online. Nothing but boring furballs no stop.
Does FT have troops there or do all troops have to be flown in? When there is a field, does it have to have a town/Map Room? If you just want to Furball, then why not got to the DA or make a "Special Furball" Room?
I am sorry, but if there is a map room people will capture it. And not just Bishops. Knights will and so will Rooks. Don't fool yourself. Bishops just got it first this time.

you can capture bases and reset map without ever laying a hand on those three center fields. the only reason anyone would take those fields is to be an ******.

lol losers taking all the bases at FT. Nothing more disturbing than seeing bish circle jerk over their own fields. Only bish.

I believe you are absolutely correct.
However, that does not change the fact that Fightertown, like Tanktown on the Trininty map, is designed to provide a place for some folks to "specialize" in a particular play style without impacting "normal" gameplay on the rest of the map.
So, anyone who would capture bases in Fightertown (or Tanktown) does so knowing that they are denying other players the specifially designed place to enjoy their specialized brand of fun.
If you wish to play capture the flag, please do so. You ~98% of a huge 512x512 map to do so.
If someone insists on denying others their particular pleasure on the tiny part of the map designed just for that aspect of the game.... that person and all who help him are complete Jackaxes.
Just my .02.

Woohoo! Karaya has made the daily news! WTG Man! ;)
Sounds like even thou taking it was not fashionalbe, taking back those bases entertained the multitudes.
Ill talk to Bullethead about having Karaya Scrubbed down with Steel Wool and diesel fuel to get that Knight stink off him.
Thanks for the good read!

You have GV town on most of the other maps ... how would you like it if you were told to go to the DA for gv spawncamping ???
I know how the bishorcs work ... when the numbers are low or to the adv .they run around grabbin bases in the least amount of resistance areas .. its been there MO for years now.
they should disable troops in fighter town ...
-
The best thing to do for fighter town is just to not have any towns attached to the airfields.
No town, no capture is possible.
Let those Bish who screwed up the furball fun try to take a base without a town.
It should be a simple fix to the map that would require no programming.
Fighter Town on Sunday night was the most fun I have had in AH in months.
And entertainment is why I fly this sim.
-
some Bish thought it was wrong to capture it,
and didnt offer resistance when it was eventually liberated
Wtg Nits and Rooks

this secenario is almost as bad as nits or rooks taking out TankTown on trinity map, kinda sucks but all countries do it so...................

Like MOSQ was saying... FT is for just that, Fighters! Yeah in Tank Town you get the occasional JABO guy that rolls in, heck I do it with and IL-2 alot but hen I just spot for the other Rooks in GV's and try to cover them from incoming fighters and bombers. Karaya did the right thing, sometimes you have to team with your enemy to take care of the other one! :aok

wtg Karaya and crew, sorry I missed out

Killnu: you can capture bases and reset map without ever laying a hand on those three center fields. the only reason anyone would take those fields is to be an ******.
True, and we know that only the Bish do that. Right? Guess again. Like I said, they just managed it first. Don't make Rooks and Knights out to be any better or any worse than any other side. Been to them all. Each side has an equal number of all types of players. Some just think they are better.
Morpheus: lol losers taking all the bases at FT. Nothing more disturbing than seeing bish circle jerk over their own fields. Only bish.
See above.
Toad, I know why it is there. And I asked about the Towns at fields because I agree that if there were not map rooms they couldn't be captrued thus removing this entire post.
Roscoroo: You have GV town on most of the other maps ... how would you like it if you were told to go to the DA for gv spawncamping ???

Lets get this clear on the outset. First, "I" have nothing. "We" as a community have "GV Towns". GV Spawn Camping is exatcly the same as Airfield Vulching. Don't even make it sound like it is "Dirty" without condeming vulching in the same breath. I don't like getting vulched any more than I like getting camped. But it exists on ALL sides.
And as for the "MO" of the Bish. See the above post about Rooks and Knights not being any better or Worse than Bish. Numbers are low? For Bish that is almost every night. Guess that is how come we win most maps.
AKFokerFoder+: The best thing to do for fighter town is just to not have any towns attached to the airfields.
No town, no capture is possible.
Let those Bish who screwed up the furball fun try to take a base without a town.
I agree. Make it uncaptrueable. Solve the problem. But, again, don't point the finger at only the Bish. They just got there first. I am not proud of it, but again, they did it on their own.
Cooley, well said. And totally true. And I agree, well done Rooks/Knights.
Hammy: Very true. And all sides do it.
Clifra Jones: Again, I agree. But wag that finger at all sides. FT is for Fighter Jocks, Tank Town for GVers. And we all know that Rooks, Knights and Bish never fly in with Buffs and Carpet bomb the GVs, or orbit in Jobos and strafe GVs for the kill just to pad the score board. Or take the GV bases just like Bish did in FT.
ChristCAF: Occasional Jabo? Ya ever spend any time there on the ground? If it isn't multipule formations of Lancs 100 foot of the deck because there are few if any Osties, it is JU87s with the Nuke bombs, P-47Ns with almost the same. Or, just Ponys straffing so they get the kill when you put a 75mm round into someones turret. I saw it as a Knight, I saw it as a Rook and I see it as a Bish also.
SO, with all that said. We all agree that FT should be left alone. Some agree that TT should be left alone. Will it happen? No. Are the Rooks and Knights the little saints some make them out to be? NO. But neither are the Bish so we may as well let that be.
If FT is to be "Left Alone" remove the map rooms. That will fix it. Not sure why they are there unless they can't be removed. And for those of you still willing to point the finger at the Bish for "Spoiling the Fun" at FT. I guess that means your side won't be taking any bases in Tank Town from now on. Right? :rofl

Karaya called me on the Red Phone, asking if I would help out in the liberation of Fighter Town. I told him I would do what I can to rallly the Knights to the cause, and proceded to Private Message FBDred, and GooseCH for some support. They both jumped on board, threw together a mission, and off we went. (
To the FB's and CH's for their immediate support)
Can't stress enough how hard it is to capture a field crossing two sectors and 20,000' mountains. Our first attack durn near had it, but taking a field that far away, when the enemy has a nearby field is really, REALLY hard. Even with light resistance (I saw as many as 15 bish at one time defending a94) to accomplish a capture like this was more than difficult, but the Knights all showed their mettle and we pushed forward with zeal.
For the next wave, the knit's were tricklin' in in smaller #'s, and managed to cap A94 (our target) several times, but either nme gv's were there in force, or the goon got popped, or some such thing. We kept up the pressure, and finally the Rooks managed to take a21. to the Rooks! GREAT JOB!
The Rooks then upped a21 in force, and capped a94 with us. It was quite a sight. I almost shed a tear when I came in w/ a fully loaded p38 and found a94 swarmed with allied Rook and Knight fighters and bombers, flying side by side. Heck, I even called in the goon with little Knit's in the area, such was the trust we had. We took it without any friendly fire incidents (I was amazed) and Figther Town was back as it should be.
GREAT FUN! I much appreciate the efforts of both the Knights and the Rooks in smacking down the Bishops. We got the field, and an awesome furball developed in Fighter Town.
Karaya, what can I say. You good people . To all the Rooks that assisted in the effort, I also give a heartfelt . Knit's couldn't have done it without you.

I agree to some extent. The donut map is great! I really appreciate having FT there because I don't have hours everyday to spend playing this game. When I do play, I find the most bang for the buck is a good furball and not a gangbang (giving or receiving). There is no need to touch FT to win the war.
The only thing I disagree with you here is the bish part. I would have been disappointed to log on and find no action in the FT, and all three fields monopolized by any one of the chess pieces. I'm sure there are others who feel the same.
others like Sqrl and Cooley

Didn't wag it at either side. Just made a point. 2 wrongs do not make a right (but 3 lefts do)
Taking tank town is no different than taking fighter town. All sides do it and none of them are right in doing it. I am Bish and we have some good GVers in our squad. I fly cover for them a lot in Tank Town and it never fails that the hoards of Lancs and dive bombers come in once they start killin' the Nits and Rooks GVs. We can't stop them all and their fun gets stopped. Been a while since I've seen Bish take Tank Town but I'm sure it happens.

HT has always said there cannot be an "uncapturable" fields. He has never said that some planes/vehicles cannot be disabled at some, all or any fields.
So, you will always have the map rooms. Capture could be made more difficult by disabling any troop carrying vehicle and all bombers in the FT bases. But capture would still be possible if enough jackaxes wanted to climb the mountains from outside and do it.
What it really boils down to is... jackaxes. Fightertown doesn't affect MA gameplay just like Tanktown doesn't affect MA gameplay. It's just folks with a common interest doing what they like to do in the game without bothering anyone else who doesn't care to participate.
But there's always the jackaxes that have to try to deny someone else's fun. Griefers.
Fact 1: Reset can be achieved without any of the FT bases being captured.
Fact 2: Players playing in FT have absolutely no effect on the "war" to reset the MA.
Fact 3: Only a jackaxe would participate in an attempt to capture a FT base.
Thank you, and good night.

Sorry Clifra, mis-read your post.
Just don't want anyone thinking that their side is any better or worse than the others.
This thread started out as a good write about a fun fight. But then tended towards condeming one side for "Spoiling our Fun". Leading one to believe that if there side had gotten the chance, they would not have done it. I got news for them.
At any rate. Keep up the good writes and good fights. They are REALLY fun to read.
Salute all.

Thanks for all the kills, perks and most of all the fun. Yes it is just a game for me. I love to Fight each and everyone one of you in the virtual skies. I do enjoy a good friendly pilot war with several of the better fighters, Shawk ,Wmlute, and Leviathn.
PS kill me if you can, Does any one sell a product that will help me not up at capped fields? I can't control myself.

Great write up MOSQ, felt like it happened just yesterday :P
I came on during Monday Night Football halftime to get in a few quick FT fights and found it bish. I voiced my opinion on 200. Then Karaya said hey Filth tune 170. The rest is as recorded by MOSQ. I missed a good football game for this. At 3am I finally said goodnight.
-
I know I don't post on these boards too often, though I do read them quite a bit, but may I toss my 2 cents in?
Firstly I agree that this was a very entertainiing writeup, Kudos to MOSQ!
I also agree that we are all guilty, to one degree or another, of doing things that may hack off someone in-game, and that finger wagging is rather non-productive.
My proposal is, in short, an acknowledged "gentlemen's agreement" not to capture FT or TT bases. I realise this would not be directly enforceable, but one of the trends in online games is that over time, unwritten rules develop, usually in response to situations such as this. There will always be those who disregard them, but peer pressure can do a lot to maintain them. I will not bore everyone with examples unless requested. :)
We would have to take it upon ourselves to pass the word, and also educate newcomers regarding this; but frankly if it was generally accepted that taking these bases was improper behavior, it would be much more difficult for those who wish to take the bases to gather enough forces to do so.
Just my thoughts on the subject, for what they're worth.
Blackwulf
Who is now wondering if he just proposed the AH version of the Geneva Convention.....

I'd have to say that capturing the FURBALL Island with Grillman, Getsome and others (on OZ! b4 U ask toto) from the "BREW CREW" was and is part of the fun of that map!
But takin TT or FT is a pointless exibition of "WE TOOK IT, NOW COME TAKE IT BACK" and ruins the fun of those maps! And yes I have partakin in the retalliatory raids to TAKE THEM BACK from the OFFENDERS! But if the Biotches get off on ruining others fun, HOW DO YA LIKE ME NOW, (even though I haven't been to the MA in months) :D ! to Karaya and his KROOKS and Lute and the Knights for workin together and kickin some "BIOTCH'*SS" when it was needed!
-
Wish I could have been there. Sounds like a great time. Just goes to show you that the old saying "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" holds true today.
Way to go guys. BIG to those that took them back.

hehe FUNNY furball WHAT CANT THE BOPS do!!!!

and it wasent just a bop mission it was all the bish. a few 262s could have stopped the bombers but all ya just did was say how lame we were to take FT:rolleyes:

First off, WTG everyone for joining together to get the bases back to where they should be so anyone who wants to furball, can!!!! I realy hate that I missed it.
Second, it sounds as if LTAR is saying that the Knights and Rooks shouldn't be proud of what they accomplished because it took two sides together to do what one side did alone. Yes, I am pretty sure that was the meaning of a few of LTAR's posts here. Bish rock and did it alone, and nitrooks suk cause it took them both together to do it. I would like to respond to that something maybe the poster didn't think about.
It's much easier to do when you have a freaking base inside the mountain range!!!!!!!!!!! DOH!!!!!
NITROOKS HAD TO FLY ALL FORCES IN FROM MANY SECTORS AWAY, AND OVER 20K MOUNTAINS TO GET THERE! OK, sorry for yelling:D but this does make a slight difference in the difficulty level of accomplishing this task.
When the red dar bars started growing for the re-take missions, the bish had much time to prepare and there would have been no doubt that it was a re-take mission coming in.
OK I feel better, carry on :O
-
Not LTAR, LTARsqrl. These are my opinions. And I saluted both the Rooks and the Knights for a good fight. Also for the fact that they fought together, which is in itself a miracle.
And the meaning of the post is more along the lines of "Don't belittle the opposing side just because they took over the playground." Karaya did what nobody else had the B@lls to do. Instead of Biotching on 200, he stepped up and rallied the troops to take it back. And as far as being proud that you took it back? OK, how about proud you let it be taken? I could care less if it were Bish/Rooks, Knights/Bish or however you want to put it. Two teams lost FT to one Team. The two teams had to join forces to regain it. Whether it was hard or not, I guess next time the sides will fight a little harder to keep it to begin with. Next time? You can bet there will be a next time. Bishop/Knight/Rook, someone will take it.
You don't want one Bishop/Knight/Rooks to take Furball Island, don't put map rooms.
You don't want one Bishop/Knight/Rooks to take Tank Town, don't put map rooms.
But as long as there are map rooms, people are going to capture them.

Ditto what Cooley said, a significant number of bish weren't for the FT capture, Fariz included I believe. Will be interesting to see if TT survives when Trinity comes back around.

Let me repeat, you are full of a bull****! And again, you are full of it, and you are a bull**** yourself. This map was created by 9GIAP, bish squad squad, and squad I am flying with. When we logged and saw what happened, we asked bishops not to defend the bases. Dantoo had several heated discussions with some bishops and left then, I have stayed and watch what happened from tower most of the time. When I saw that after the capture of their fields some rooks and nits, having the same bull**** in their head as you do, MOSQ, were telling how they shall capture bishops field in FT, I explained, why it shall not be done. They I saw how same people were VULCHING, and I explained, that in FT vulchign is the same bull**** as capturing FT fields is, because vulching has nothing to do to furball and fun of a fight.
Have I already said you are a bull**** MOSQ?
Sorry all for losing my temper, I really hate seeing people so badly and openly lying, as MOSQ do here.

Fariz, I can understand your anger, but I think that once the bish took the field in FT, all bets were off as to how the bases were reallocated to get FT back up and running. Even if that included some vulching.
Glad to see there are bish like you out there who see the fun the FT brings, not to stereotype, but I don't think there are many left :noid

Yup, you and your squad should be proud of yourselves. Almost 90 strong now.. and all you can do is crash into hangars and take undefended bases that noone would ever want to take. Seems like the favorite saying of those in your squad when called out is: "Grow Up"... You guys sure lead by example. And here I thought you were just a bunch of know-nothing yokels... heh, go figure

MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! Those kids stole my ball now I cant play!!
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAA :furious :furious
Props to those who got off their butts and did something about it instead of whining on Ch 200 about how they are being somehow violated.... :aok
Yanno the funniest part was watching the rooktards and knitless cry and cry that they couldnt furball.... And sending Yucca over to call out any missions was hilarious... With his help we still took many fields....
It cracks me up how people get so upset over things yet they do these same things and its somehow acceptable.
Some Bish took the initiative to run a mission to the FT, and they punked you guys... You're just mad that you guys didnt do it 1st.. Bish
Hate all you want, as we will..... Like any of this really changes what happens in the MA. Whiners and cryers will keep on whining and crying. And the rest of us will just sit back and laugh.
If its not one meaningless issue, its another.. People this is a game.. A game with hundreds of players... Nobody will be right, nobody is wrong. But it is what it is..... You wanna fix it, fine.... Wanna cry... It doesnt get anything accomplished.
Peace out!

couple disturbing things here.
1. no, the knit's would not have took over figher town. Far too many knights would have vocally objected, and it wouldn't have gotten any support (same for rooks i'll assume). It's insightful that you think it was a "we got you 1st haha" thing, because it wasn't, and that opinion speaks volumes.
2. Yucca is a spy?
heck, #2 bugs me more than #1 does.
The point of fighter town is to give furballers the chance to fight w/o interferance. It's a great idea, and should be respected. Ahhh.. there, I found the point I wanted to make: Respect. Some have it, some don't. Vulching, dropin' fh's, or heaven forbid CAPTURING a fighter town field is deplorable, and shows a lack of respect. Granted, some don't have any, so it's no loss to them. If you don't fly with or have honor, you will not understand the point that those that do try to make, so i'm pretty sure I just wasted 2min. of my life i'll never get back typing this.
But Yucca?? Come on... Say it ain't so!

The last sentence says it all and was the fuel behind the fire. Mosq, you guys did the hard work, I merely used my "influence" to right a blatant wrong. I'll catch flak for doing it, but f**k em.
To all involved <>. To the ones who disagree with the way things were handled between Rooks / Knights, I don't give a rat's a** what you think. I'll do this again if the situation arises. Watching the Bish "make the last stand of being a*******" was priceless. You lost so much over this, good luck with the PR damage control. Enjoy the next two weeks!

You would not have those bases and this map if not bishops.
People who you vulch are not the people, who captured the field.
You just love vulching, and use excuses for it.
I was not up at this field, and I was not vulched there. Hardly ever 1 of 30 my sorties on this map are on the FT field. I defended bishops right to furball there, as I defended earlier rooks and nits right to furball there. If you do not get it, you are even more stupid, than I though.

Dude, get over yourself, I was at A21 and A94. I wasn't vulching a single Bish. So again, get over yourself. Call your Countrymates stupid, now yer almost 1/2 defending them just on that premise. You're lucky we didn't capture 167 with 2 Rook goons over the town ready to drop. Lute and I took the high road and showed class, as your jack*** countrymates failed at.

Fariz you've called me a liar. There's not one word that I posted that is untrue. I was wrong about Herbalife leading the capture and have said so.
I'm assuming that what you are calling me a liar about is your pathetic whining on 200 about the vulching after FT was recaptured by the Allies. You did whine, there is no lie in that.
If you had any brains you would have realized that the Bish screwed up by taking FT and now was a little payback. If you had any class you would have said to yourself and other Bish "we deserve it" and gone to fly somewhere else. It lasted no more than 20 minutes anyway, you'd have thought from your whining it had been a week.
So you're the one that's full of it Fariz.

You call a whine what? I never was vulched there, I am not even using this base that often. I belive that vulching there is as stupid as taking bases. Those fields were created for fight and the fun of furball, they do not have a strat value, they shall not be taken, vulched or porked. There are enough bases outside the FT for this.
I tried to help to restore situation, when people of all 3 sides can fight there for a fun of it. I tried to help nits and rooks to get bases back, I tried to stop vulch against bishops. Dantoo and F1Bomber are not furballers, but they designed those fields to be a good use for furballers, and other part of map to be of a good strat value. May be because they have something, guys like Karaya and MOSQ never had -- respect for the ways, which is not their own.
Call it a whine if you want, as you call it a whine how we tried to stop bishops from upping and defending there.
I do not see the reason to continue here, it is like talking with deafs.

Guess you don't know us very well. You should try. When LTAR moves, we do it as a squad all at once. And after a majority vote. You posted a comment? Sorry, must have missed it. Mysteriously showed up? Guess the month planning was wasted. Ask around. Month with Bish, month with Rooks. We did a month with Bishops and were welcomed by an overwhelming number of players. We were impressed by how they played and by the unity they showed. We were and now are glad to be here. When we switched to Rooks, the feeling was MUCH different.
Guess your facts are more myth than truth.
At any rate, I have the feeling that no matter what I say, you will try to cut me down, so and See ya later.

The thing that bothers me is that the fields werent taken for and strategic purpose. They are kinda worthless sitting down in the bowl. The reason someone took them is because they said "Hey lets po the guys at FT."
Thats all there is to it. The cool thing is, all their work lasted just a few hours before it was fixed. And alot of the Rook and Knight pilot who would have been furballing at FT, were actually getting more kills than they would have if FT was in proper form.

This is the FIRST PERSON to see the true meaning of why I initiated this in the first place. I died about 4 times in a goon, but in me dying, the other goons got through.
I love watching the Bish sit back, whine or "we let you have it", etc. I'm still chuckling over the Monday PM accomplishments. I do believe this undertaking was the first time that (outside of a reset scenario) that two countries called a Truce. I'm sure a Knight or Rook fell (I could also be wrong) every now and then. But 100+ deliberately hitting two bases is tough to repel (which is why I'm laughing at the "we let you have it"). Lute was prepared to throw his 50+ guys at A21 to help us capture it, and vice versa. I.E. They would have changed hands anyways.

What are you trying to say here ?
Many thanks and a big <> to the map makers, but I could give a rats arse what country they fly for ... nor should it justify the lameness exhibited by the Bish.
Just because you are Bish and the map creators are Bish ... the Bish get the A-OK to be griefers ? I don't think so.
The bottom line ... no matter what way you look at it ... the Bish intended to grief and intended to keep the grief going as long as possible.
If the Bish wanted to take it for ha-ha's ... as some have alluded to, then why did it take 100+ Rooks and Knights to take the area back.
If it was just for ha-ha's, then you should have just let the Rooks and Knights come back over the mountains without resistance so that FT could resume its normal intention.

Yes, we killed alot of peoples fun that night(btw I resent the remark about BoP's leadership). Most people ask "why we took over FT ?" Well here's how the "plan" evolved; not sure if any of you guys remeber Sullie, he's is off to college and his dorm doesn't have internet access(oldest dorm on campus) and tht was going to be his last night and we(several Bish from several squads) were talking about doing something different, wacky and most of all something to get folks riled up. The most enjoyment those of us in the mission got was the response on ch 200. Whoever said that Yucca didn't come over to tip off rook/nits about missions must have not been reading the text, because he himself said that's what he was going to do(if it ever happened I'm not sure).
Was it wrong to kill the fun at FT...some might think so and on reflection I might tend to agree with those folks. However, that mission was alot of fun and had massive participation( close to 35 guys alone flying bombers), which is the most I have seen in a while. Would I do it againg ? probably just to get the reactions that we got.
If I try real hard I can get myself to feel just a little sorry for doing it and being one of the main instigators behind the mission. But I don't feel that way for long.
Having said that, all I can say is "Hello tank town"
Can't we all just get along?

Pretty much answers why a lot of folks say the MA and the AH community has declined over the years.
I used to think there really was no difference between countries. All the bashing back and forth over Bish this, Nit that, Rook %^&* was a bunch of BS.
Now I'm not so sure anymore. I know our own Rook RJO squads would never use this line of thinking. I suppose some Rook high school squads might.
Hopefully the senior Bish Squads can get these kids inline and mentored.

That is the definition of "griefing" ... that is why the MA sucks as of late. Nothing but griefers - gangbangers - milkrunners.

'Tis sad ... people getting their jollies at ruining someone elses night ... but that is atypical of the mindset of most MA players.

Don't worry about it mosq, these same folks, which make up the majority of the bish have proved time and again that they must take part in this type of activity because it is all they are proficient at any more. Frankly, I'm surprised that their goon didn't drop too low, or over the field instead of the town. Actually, I'm rather amazed their bombers didn't blow themselves up... because you know they went in NOE.
If they are content with being dweebs, may as well just let them be that way, won't be any surprise to anyone else.

you guys kill me...easy to manipulate with just a few words. you all are almost as predictable as my 6yr old son. why dont you guys get fired up over something worthwhile.
it's been mentioned in previous posts that all the bish did was do it first, to me that would indicate that quite possibly some players on the other countries thought about the same thing.
what are you guys 14?
see ya in the MA

Howitzer: Don't worry about it mosq, these same folks, which make up the majority of the bish have proved time and again that they must take part in this type of activity because it is all they are proficient at any more.
Make up the Majority? No more and no less than Rooks and Knights. OH, I am sorry, you mean that people that play for your side are better than the rest of the people that play this game. My mistake.
Or did you mean that there are people that have played this game over the years better refereed to as the "Old Timers", that have grown and matured beyond some of the things that happen now and then. But being "Old Timers" are noticing it more. If ya think back, these things have been happening since day one. But the "Old Timers" were the ones doing it then. And if you weren't, the ones that were have moved on.
Remember to examine your own morals under the microscope before making a blanket statement about others.

WTF? This started off as an amusing write-up following a stunt done purely to piss off those of us who enjoy the challenge of air to air combat. It forced us to play "their" way so that we could later play "ours". A group organized, played horde warrior, restored the MA to its entertaining state, and capped it with a respectful and humorous AAR.
However, as soon as your mommies read it to you, it turns into one more chance for everyone to jump in and take a cheap shot at someone else, tell them to find another arena, brag how they can deny quality of gameplay to others, or give morals lectures, etc.
Get a grip, hosers. Tell Mosquito "Nice AAR", "Funny", " Fun battle to win it back" and GTF over yourselves. Leave the pursefights in the griefer threads.

You are doing the SAME thing here......
I never justified it, I just said, and I will type it REALLY big so you can read it.
IF IT WAS THAT BIG OF A DEAL, WHY WERE YOU WHINING ABOUT IT INSTEAD OF DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
I hope you understood that.
There have been many many many nights where Tank Town was taken and NOBODY cried about it... It just was...
Some of you people really need to get over yourselves here. This is a GAME.
Its for OUR entertainment. You want to change things, fine, Someone give HT their ideas and lets make this a great game. But whining isnt gonna get you what you want.

HTC did do something, he made a part of the map that was out of the way of the land grab crowd for us furballers. But in a rather sad move, some felt the need to ruin it. There was no reason to bother FT, but someone felt that they had to and it makes them come off as jerks. It is only a game, but it's a game with many ppl who like many different things. There was no need for the land grab guys to bother with it.
At least jolly had enough class to say he actually felt a little bad. Responses like the one above are classless and childish.

I have been off-line for over 24 hours due to having to work out in rural Alaska. Sometimes a decent internet connection is unavailable until I install the circuit or we are just working to hard.
It just amazes me at some of the replies and justifications in the previous posts. Although, having read combat flight sim BBS’s for over 7 years, I am really not sure why I should be amazed. It is however obvious that we have come to a place in history where we have people whom are educated enough to use a computer, yet are unable to reason or use logic.
This leads me to wonder, and consider several possibilities:
Has by natural selection (or some other process), the universe produced smarter idiots?
Or have computers become so easy to use that even one whom cannot reason can now use them?
Or have people always been this clueless, and modern technology has just enabled them to publicly display their ignorance?
Now as for the problem of some southern ends of horses taking over FT.
Just move the towns for the FT bases deep into each countries territory, preferably very near their HQ so that they can be defended by 163’s and easily taken back.

Just take it easy Francis... I'm not saying the LTARs are lumped into this. I'm saying that I always see this behavior from the bish, and I don't from the knits and rooks. I have and do fly for all 3 teams depending on circumstances and I always see it from them. SO, I'm not saying I'm uber, I'm just saying on a normal night I can expect a degree of lameness from them.
Sorry, but that is how I see it, and I don't even need that trusty microscope..

I'll just shut up now.

The fact that you knew what was going to be the reaction, that you knew it was going to piss off a lot of people (including some Bish), and you did it anyway just show what lack of maturity you actually have.
Knowing something is wrong and then doing it anyways is about as childish as it gets. Either that, or it's psychopathic.

What? It's perspective! It may be "trolling" to those who do it and it may be "griefing" to those who bit the hook. What is your point? It works both ways dude as "griefing" to one was "trolling" to another. You guys just can't stand being handed your own medecine and why not just take two valiums and call us in the morning?
Trolling in here= Those setting the hook
Griefing in here= Those receiving the hook
Do we need to get more basic than that?

Well ... you have confirmed to all that you aren't the sharpest knife in the drawer.
Trolling on a BBS is far different that "griefing" in the game. What's being discussed in this thread is in-game griefing ... griefing on the BBS is around the corner ... three doors down.
By the way ... how does one "grief" on a BBS 'o enlightend one ?
Doc ... I think you need to write yourself a prescription ... but I don't think that they have invented a "smart" pill yet so you will have to settle for prozak.

Please explain to me why in these four or so threads on this subject some of you guys insist on making this about the BKs? It's not.
They just happen to be some of the more vocal supporters of the furballers side. It just sounds like a bit of "you now what" envy to me.

WOW, is it fun to sit in a closet and masturbate with 80 grit sand paper? No...I didnt think so.
So what's so fun about having a CV that's not being used?
-
Disabling all the bases in area which is normally very active, solely to deny others their fun is griefing.
Changing sides to put a stop to a group exploiting an aspect of gameplay is not griefing.

You want to know what was wrong with it? A month later, some people are STILL pissed off. This alone should tell you something, morph.
And in case you were wondering what that "something" was, it should tell you that it was a childish, nasty thing to do on zazen's part.

What you forgot about oh Hammy one is that the CV that was snatched out from under them ... again ... was being used to "grief" in the game.
Through an obscure hole in the terrain, the "griefers" were allowed to sit just outside the port and spawn a never ending stream of LVTs to resupply the port base and prevent its capture.
Nice try tho !!! Come back again when ya have something solid ... :aok

The issue with that idea is that every base MUST have a maproom. It doesn't need a town, but needs a maproom. Even CVs have them (look at the top left of the Baltic map, or all around Trinity). A solution could be to put the maprooms extremely far away, but then anyone with a buttload of time in a goon could take it. Then again, you could surround them with a couple thousand acks that "belong" to the base...that would be awesome.

In an earlier post, I suggested this :
"Just move the towns for the FT bases deep into each countries territory, preferably very near their HQ so that they can be defended by 163’s and easily taken back."
The point is of course that there are some easy solutions to preventing these FT bases from being taken easily, and to make it very easy for a side to take them back.
HT really cannot control the behavior of those who decide to stop the furballing at FT by capturing all the FT bases. But HT can make it difficult to capture the base and easy to to get it back so that the furballing can continue.
As for those who took the FT bases to stop the furballing, well it is their $15 a month. And it sounds like they got what they wanted, a massive negative reaction from the community. And now they get to brag on the BBS about how they enjoyed ruining the furball for everyone else. So it sounds like they got more than their $15 bucks worth this month.

I wish I had seen this earlier. I don't often check the boards because frankly, most of you are so full of crap you stink up a Q tip, but I had to read this 1 since I heard so much about it. My god, you bunch of sissies! We can't furball, waaaah! You can hate the bish all you want for taking your bases in FT, but I can guarantee all of you that rooks were first in bombers in FT, and I didn't cry. I tightened my belt and went to get some. You people nearly make me sick. all the whining, when all you want to do is gang on people and get easy cherry picks anyway. I'd rather fly by myself, then at least nobody is trying to steal my kill, but there's never just 1 bad guy. Yes, I'll bomb your FH, I'll even kill all your churches, then fly Lancs over the city and target the hospital and the orphanage! WHAT?
