Title: Varying Degrees of Pilot Wounding.
Post by: hubsonfire on October 16, 2005, 01:43:32 AM
Perhaps a randomizer for pilot wounds, similar to what we apparently have for oil/fuel hits. To simulate a hit in the limbs or extremities, maybe slower control response, delays in flap/gear/engine settings (whatever things would have normally required the use of one's hands to operate/engage), etc. Surely not all pilot wounds would have resulted in perpetual blacking out, nor fatalities; surely an injury from a light MG would be less severe than one from a heavy cannon.

Not my idea, but one I felt had enough merit to warrant it's own post.

Sounds interesting.

There *are* varying degrees of pilots wounds already, btw. Time between blackouts and time blacked out vary depending on how badly hit you are. And it gets worse over time (blood loss). Im not sure, but pulling high G maneuvers seems to induce blackouts sometimes.

For me, landing and being engaged by multiple cons are the triggers for blacking out. Lovely.

Headshots are instant kills.

Every hit in this gave is bang, bleed, blackout, die. I like the idea to vary the types of wounds. :aok
