Excuse me while I go do my happy dance again.
-
why are you happy?
i think most of the players in the nhl should retire
i.e. stevey Y, fedorov, lindros, roenek, lidstrom (best defensive player ever!), and many others. NHL will never be what it used to be...

A few years too late for my tastes.
NO GOAL!!!

Well of course I could wish the money grubbing little POS would have retired sooner. But this is sweet enough. Not only did he realize after sitting on his rear for a year and a half that he couldnt keep up anymore, and retired in true whiney-pansy fashion..............
He did it after his father (who I have much respect for) actually went to the NHL and asked them to UNRETIRE his number so his son could wear it this year with the Coyotes. *sniff* I mean, THAT was touching. And it just makes baby boy Hull's retirement even sweeter, that he'd stab his old man in the back like that without even so much as trying. If he'd actually put forth the effort to work out and get his fat arse back into shape for one more season, I could have managed some respect for him finally. Instead he showed his true colors and reminded me yet again why he is a POS.

The Sabres were ripped off. It's a shame the NHL didn't have the balls to call that back.
-
And now they're all happy and giving each other pats on the back for fixing the game when all they really had to do was call the obstruction rules they already had.
bye bye Gary!!!
[ anyone need a goaltender? ]
-
I always considered him the Rick Flair of Hockey... about 2 season past due.
-
About time Bobby Hull retired.

THE STARS WIN THE STANLEY CUP!!!!! THE STARS WIN THE STANLEY CUP!!!!!!
It was good day:aok

His fathers number was un-retired just long enough to pull it down and dust it off.... now they'll have to put it back up again. I don't understand how he thought he'd fit in Phoenix, he's a guy who needs a decent setup man and that's something the Coyotes don't really have.
Brett was a funny guy, his mouth moved faster than his brain sometimes, but he'll be headed to the Hall of Fame shortly.

When was #9 retired? Lots of people wearing a retired #. I agree Soda, he should have came back to Dallas and finished with another cup.

- The high priest of hockey quotes has called it quits. Here, with affection, are some favourite Brett Hull moments:
ON BEING SMART:
"Do I catch flak because I'm so much smarter than everyone else? I don't know."
ON MONEY MATTERS:
"They've got a big payroll here, but I'd be more than happy to help with that."
ON MUSIC:
"I love Barry Manilow."
ON BEING BRETT:
"You know what? I don't care. I'm my own guy. I'm very secure with my sexuality. I can cry anytime I want."
ON HIS TALENTS:
"I'm good at everything."
ON HIS PUBLIC:
"I don't give a (deleted) about the fans anymore."

There's gotta be, at this point, enough raw material for some University initiated study on the corellation between great men raising dip **** sons.
See ya, Bob.
See ya in hell. :D

If there is Nash, when they write it you've just seen chapter 1.
