getting an error screen when trying to start the game.

probably... HTC is moving the game ot new servers today -  read about it in the news forum.

I just thought we would still be able to play the offline games. but the game doesn't even start

ooooo...   well i had this plm last week after installing stupid AIM (since uninstalled - thanking myself for th reminder why i hate AOL) and had to do a full un/reinstall.

also occurred again when i uninstalled the film viewer and had to do yet another full un/reinstall.

so....


"aces high encountered an unexpected error and will close" is the msg you're getting while not even being able to see any screen loads at all?

well I double click onthe desktop shortcut I made and then I get the error report asking if I want to send it in or not. Not sure what the problem is here. I did a total uninstal and reinstall and it didn't do anything.

sounds to me like your shortcut is buggered (ie: use the original AH start up icon) or your copy of AH is buggered (ie: re-install completely)

Ahh yes, Mechinic is close. What you probably did was drag the actual AcesHigh.exe file out to your desktop. This wil not work as it must be in the folder where it was installed. If you did that, drag it back. then right click on it and select copy, then go to your desktop and select "past shortcut'.

Or, just copy the shortcut out of the start menu and paste it to your desktop.
