Here's an "old chesnut":
Seniority isn't everything, it's the ONLY thing.
Get a line number with a decent commuter as soon as you can. Do the CFI stuff as you can...don't really think you'll need it to get on with a major, though.
Just get the hours as fast as you can.

Ozark Airline was bought out by Great Plains Airlines in Tulsa. They have some deep pockets and will train FO's. I've seen some amazing things happen to new FO's in startups. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
