Don't suppose you've read about the server moving and the connectivity problems it may cause.

I had the same issue tonight and ping plot shows several Savvis hops along the way so I figure they are working on it still. I'm willing to wait a day or two in order to have better connectivity, aren't you? (if not.. take the money for the day's service lost along with another quarter and go buy a Coke) :furious

Nothing computer related EVER does. Something this complex is no exception. A few less heads up a few less poster's fannies would be helpful at this point.

Post by: Skuzzy on October 20, 2005, 08:04:46 PM: All done, except for the physical re-location of the other servers at Savvis so we can spread the arenas out, but as of this afternoon, all the arenas are on AT&T's network.

Post by: fuzeman on October 21, 2005, 11:28:26 AM: That is correct, all arenas are now on one server, the original MA server from savvis that was moved to AT&T.
All pevious arenas were switched to the second server at savvis until the AT&T one was up. So the CT, DA, TA, SEA server at savis was also handling the MA.
Once the first AT&T server was up it replaced the last savvis server and took the whole load or all arneas. The last part of the move is getting the remaining server from savvis to AT&T and when both are installed @AT&T I'm sure HTC will distribute the arenas in a similar fashion as before.

Post by: Skuzzy on October 21, 2005, 01:29:17 PM: There should not be any lag as of last night. The arenas are not much of a load on the server.

If you are getting lag, then it is something else and it is the first report, since we have moved the server to its new ISP, of any type of connection related issues.

I would like more information. Any traceroutes/Pingplot data would be helpful. Remeber the MA IP address has changed. It is 206.16.60.39 now.
