Title: still having DA problem

everytime i try 2 log in da it downloads map over and over again should i reinstall the game what should i do someone please help ty numb

You could try deleting the DA map in your terrain folder (HTC/AcesHighII/ahiiterr). Maybe it cant be overwritten for some reason.
Then on next login, it will download you a clean version of the terrain.

i tried that the first day this started happening so its not that i hope i dont have 2 re download cause i will lose all my settings numb

You will not lose you settings on a re-install of the game, but if any of the directories, or files, are marked read-only, then your problem will not go away with a re-install of the game.

Also, make sure you are not running an anti-virus program when running Aces High.  They can cause the same symptoms you are seeing.

hey skuzzy i re installed game turned off anti virus and i still cant get  into DA it does the same thing should i uninstall AH2 and then re install it again if so how could i save my settings please help ty numb

Go to your Aces High folder on  C\Program files\HTC\Aces High II and copy the "settings" folder to somewhere else like desktop.  Uninstall Aces High (Control panel. Uninstall software) , go back to program files and delete the HTC folder in Program Files and if you want to be thorough use Reg cleaner or something to wipe all traces of Aces High (possibly not necessary). Reboot your PC.

Reinstall Aces High, then copy the Settings folder you saved back to the  C\Program files\HTC\Aces High II folder. It will ask if you want to replace the existing settings folder. You do! Reboot PC again.

See if that fixes it.

Oh, as skuzzy says, disable any virus scanners while doing all that.

ok i unistalled the game reinstalled and still not working only in DA this is weird what do i do know??

Similar to my suggestion on getting the map just to check I'd have someone start a H2H arena with their DA map and see if you can enter that.

i went to H2H arena and became a host and used the DA map and it let me right in but i still cant get into DA whats going on what should i try next?? any suggestions will help please thanx numb

Hosting a H2H slightly different than entering one with just entering one simulating the DA problem better.
I'd still like to see you enter a H2H arena hosted by someone else using the DA map.

Course this dog could be barking up a tree that has no bearing on the problem or fix it but it would narrow it down to HTCs hosting of that arena, the map when you enter an arena with it, or something completely different.

Actually numb, it was an error on our part.  The terrain version was incorrect.  Probably happened when we moved the arenas all over to the MA server while we get the other servers shipped from St. Louis to be installed at AT&T.

Try covering the walls of your computer room with aluminum foil.
Also make a hat to cover your head to prevent telepathic bad karma waves from interfering with your entering of the Dueling are....
