Does anybody know anything about this paint scheme? Looks like it's operational (in the field), but I can't tell what unit or even what front it's on. All I can tell is that it's a G6 based on the canopy (E4 style canopy but with clear headrest armor -- it's a '43 G-6 if I'm right).
EDIT: Dammit, freepichosting is a STUPID service.. it's totally screwing up.

I haven't seen a paint scheme like that, but if I had to guess I'd say its probably from the Med, summer of '43.
Also I'll have to check my sources better and get back to you, but with a paint scheme like that and a different canopy, it might well be a G5 high-altitude interceptor.

Bruno was very helpful. Check out the post I made in the Aircraft and Vehicles forums.
