I have a new in box ms sidewinder ff pro stick & can't get it to load in XP.
Am I    SOL on this stick or is there some way of making it work with XP?:confused:

It is a gp with the ms usb adapter

do you have it in the right USB port?

i ahve the same stick and its plug-N-play

Hook the stick in, go to control panel, game controllers, and if it does not show up click "ADD" and select the proper stick from the list. I think MS lists all of their own sticks, because it serves their own interest to do so. There should be one listed that matches your sidewinder.

i have the same adapter woody.when you plugg it in the computer should
chime telling you new hardware detected.

One other thing: I have a MS Prec Pro Sidewinder gameport, and it does NOT work with the USB adapter I pulled out of my spares drawer. It will only work as gameport. Try that.
