You mean the Major Networks could make a mistake?
You lie!
-
freudian slip, perhaps?
-
Done attentionally or mistake, doesn't matter, it fits :rofl

If you actually watch him occasionally the guy is pretty good. He goes after weak judges and regularly criticises GWB on several issues such as our porous border.
His book is pretty good as well.
I don't care if you like him personally or not he's one of the few talking heads on TV that tends to give people a fair shake.
-
Havent watched him in a while
But knowing him that may not have been as much as a mistake as much as it was a play on words on his part.
depends on what he was talking about.
He may have been meaning that someone he was talking about in his opinion had no spine hence the "No Spine Zone"
with him I find myself either saying "yea yea" or wanting to crack him in the head with a tire iron
Rarely an inbetween.
He is one arrogent and self rightous....gentleman (actual term would be Skuzzified)
Which can be more then irritating at times
-
That dude's days are numbered.
Anyone who rides to glory on a crock 'o **** is gonna flame out when that crock goes to ****.
-
I watch the no spin zone from time to time. I dont often agree with him but he has a certain sensibility I can relate to.
As far as the "no spine zone"? eh.......was sorta funny actually hehe

Meanwhile, Fox generates the highest viewership of any Cable TV news due to shows like Hannity and Combs(sp, I don't watch tv much, thus my spelling may be off), O'Reilly Factor, etc. Yeah...days...numbered...:rofl

Now those two clowns I cant understand why anybody would watch.
Whenever I see them only one word comes to mind.
"idiots"

Fox also produces "The Simple Life" with Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie that gains high ratings. Does that mean it's quality television, Rip?

I don't recognize any of those names, or show, except Paris Hilton...but it just goes to show you that your outnumbered. :D
-
so rpm... I agree with you to an extent I guess... are you saying that because of the totaly vapid content of some of the shows on the major networks that it invalidates their news service?

More likely news service invalidates all by itself. Plenty of evidence too. Just think 'Geraldo' :lol
-
I dont think O'Reilly has ANY core beliefs....he looks at what Rush says....looks at what Moveon.org says, and carves out a position in the middle, like a politician...I stopped watching him some time ago
-
No, that ratings don't nessessarily mean quality. Shock value always draws a crowd.
-
Anyone catch that O'Reilly a few years ago (maybe a month or two after 911?) when he had Rosie O'Donnell on? I was really looking forward to the two of them going at it, and yet, I walked away with the impression that he was too frightened to fight back.
I mean I can't really blame him. (And of course he may have just completely agreed with her), but that's the impression I got.
Lately he's just been driving me mad simply because he usually makes a fair share of excellent points in his arguments, but then goes off being such a complete jerk in how he presents those arguments and filler content besides them, that his entire point can often be lost if one isn't paying careful attention.

That would be be because of 'spin', now wouldn't it. ;)
Should the point be lost in the future, just check the top of his head.

but at one time.... cnn was bragging that they were the most watched news channel in the world.... Now (that they aren't).... popularity means nothing?
Don't get me wrong... I think all news... print, video or otherwise is mostly a pack of lies..

Yeah, he’s like Novak, he melts under any heat. Did you hear him on NPR with Terri Gross? Half-way through the interview, he ran out – I picture him lifting his dress so he could run faster.

When The Simple Life (cancelled IIRC) is up against the extreme quality of programs like Survivor, The Apprentice, How Your Neighbors Screwed Up Your Living Room While You Were Busy Screwing Up Theirs, and other programs in the genre they don't have to clear a very high bar.

Every 24hr US News networks has bragging rights.
* Most "trusted" news and breaking news - CNN
* Most watched entertainment news - FOX News
* Most visited news web - MSNBC

i'm sure the paris business review will support their claims.

Isn't it the same O'Reilly who collapsed France economy with his boycott ?
Since about 102% of the French population is on welfare.

He left because it was a poor attempt at a hatchet job on him. He was there to talk about his book at the time and she would not even talk about the book. All she wanted to do was try and ask him questions regarding defamatory accusation that had already been discredited, to catch him in a typical liberal "Gotcha". He refused, told her so and left, after 50 minutes of this.
He had her on his show soon after and made her look like the partisan fool she is when she could not even defend her own recorded words. She couldn't defend the fact that she was reprimanded by the NPR ombudsman.
Transcript of her appearance on FOX.
