How come 2x512 meg ram instead of 2x1gig?

Going for A64 FX55 instead of 57 should save a few hundred bucks too.  If you're not going to overclock, consider a "San Diego" core non-FX A64 and save another couple hundred, maybe even enough to buy the bigger ram sticks.

Also, take a look at the 300 gig SATA hard drives.  Going from 250 gig to 300 gig should only cost an additional $20 at most.  I just got an ATA Maxtor 300 gig for about $130.

I still say get 2x1gig memory instead of 2x512meg.  And I'd also drop the watercooling because if you make a mistake, it pretty much all goes in the trash unlike an air cooling mistake which usually only kills the cpu.

AH probably doesn't need more than 1 gig (this year) but according to the game review sites I browse, some other games like BF2 stutter badly with only 1 gig.

Hell, it was only a year or two ago that skuzzy swore up and down that 512 meg was just fine for AH and that a 128 meg vid card was overkill...  Now you can't run 4x FSAA and 512 textures without stuttering even on a 256 meg card.  Wot up wit dat? :)

if you ever plan to upgrade your ram, go with 2x1gig now.  people have reported all kinds of headaches with AMD cpus and 4x512 ram modules.

and water cooling is soooooo yesterday.  phase-change is where it's at.

that OCZ PC3200 DDR 400  ram been kicking the crap out of Corsair as well, newegg has had it on sale as 2x 1 gig, it overclocks verywell, has heatshields/coolers on them and works fine with AMD & ASUS MBs..........

just saying

I priced basically everything you had except went with SATA II 3Gig  x 2 160 HDs

switched the CDRW drive for a DVD Rom ( heck you already got everything you need in the DVD DL RW burner why buy a CDRW? ) and opted for just 1 XL800 something or nother 256 meg PCI-E card  includes 600 watt power supply, case 4 fans,  FX-55,  ASUS MB deluxe, 7.1 sound system 6 speakers  100 watts ) and a 20.3" flat screen monitor with a 12ms refresh..........

total before shipping around $1492.00 using OEM Fan & heatsink with artic silver 5 paste......  and if you want payments , they offer bill me later now!!!!

if you can't build it yourself, ask someone here to build it for you and ship it to you!

and you can get XP Pro corporate for less than 140 bucks at different places on the net................( does not need nor have an  activation key to phone home to Bill gates! )

cough, cough......arghmmmmmmmm

my copy is not a pirate version, is fully functional, registered and has no problems updating.... matter of fact I know of more than 30 people who can claim the same, I know of 2 people who got shafted and got an illegal or stolen copy/CD Key

I do know of others though that have had pirated or stolen CD Keys  that if they try to update or use windows update it reports back that their copy is stolen/pirated/illegal

so there you have it!!!

Corporate version is for people who how you say have bought one Windows XP Pro and bought serveral hundered licenses, or thousands, etc....... Mainly used by Techs/ITs for setting up complete networks for Small & Large businesses &/or Companys. It has a CD KEY( this is your actual license Key ) just like always, but doesn't require to phone home to Microsoft  when installed nor if you have to install continously after you screw up or reload windows on your same PC, you don't or are not limited to a few times then have to call Microsoft.

same goes for my AIO disc of  Office2003

just thought I clear it up for you :aok

Does XP Pro Corporate cost more than the other XP versions? Do you need a business license to buy it, or anything? That sounds rather convenient. Mind you I own all the OS's I've ever had, I'm not interested in piracy, but I've reformated my comp more than a few times and that sounds nice.
