:O OMG wish i was rich very nice find
-
looks like an absolute bargain... $125,000 ?!
-
HTC needs that for server moves and CON rides.

If 2000 of us all chipped in $62.5 we could but it for HTC as a present!
everyone get the money ready and i'll get my CIA buddies to collect it in fighter jets.
-
Sweet!!!!! Is HiTech rated for multi engine aircraft though??? I'd hate to chip in my $62.50 and then have to pay for lessons.
Plus if we did buy it for him, he would have to give rides to everyone that kicked in. He would get allot of flight time out of it traveling the world giving rides but then TOD would never get finished:(
We better re-think this guys.

I HOPE I speak for many people when I say that I hope TOD's never comes. I don't need an online WWII MMORPG... I like the AH I have today. Burn Tods. If I want a campaign I can buy any of 83 billion offline games.
Anyhow, 125,000 Thats really very cheap for something like this. Hell, a good Cessna 172 can push $65,000
But lets not forget, Old goons burn lots of Avgas at $4 a gallon and the spare parts aren't exactly laying around in the hanger, I hope you know a friend with a machine shop.

I love HT and all that he and the other guys do for us... But if I get 2000 folks with 62 bucks, I'm flying this to my house... not his :D
Sorry HT.

Nobody will be forcing you to play. It's going to be a seprerate arena.

The right engine is bumping right up against TBO - which will run you another 40-60K to do the overhaul. And the $4/gal hurts too.
-
How about a B-17??

They did. The game itself cost you nothing. I would rather have free gasoline.

prices from $1.9millon down (not in order)

Add few thousand bucks to the final price, because theres going to be some maintenance to do.... which is probably why the plane is for sale.
-
OK, i'll take the A-1D with 2 miniguns, 4 MK82s, 2 BLU-49s, 2 CBU-52s, and a load of 20mm.
CAn't understand why they would mate a Yak-9 with a merlin.

I once read an operating cost of $700+ an hour for a C-47. Something to think about.
On an unrelated note, I recently read a tower communication about the tower advising that there was a VFR 757 doing touch & goes in the pattern at an airport. There's something you don't see every day.
-
Just 1.7 mil for a Bearcat! We could all pitch in and take turns on the weekend.

I wonder how one goes about acquiring a type rating for a single seater
-
Is it over 12,500lb?

Once knew a guy who built and flew a 3/4 scale P51d. It had a Chevy V-8 in it. It was very unstable and in fact, killed him. Never asked him about a single seater rating but you raise a very interesting question.

Not sure what the actual cost to operate one is, but there's a local guy here running 2 of them to haul freight. Imagine that. A cargo plane being used to haul cargo.
-
They're still used a lot around the world, and have even been converted to Turboprops. The Turboprop versions work out of high altitudes down in South America.
Amazing plane.

In the past you would be issued an LOA but those are/were being done away with for "experimental type ratings". I'd imagine the same procedures for being given an LOA. Someone blesses you after a fee and lunch ;)

Is LA7 available for sale in USA?

As long as you got the money.

I can't believe you can buy an Avenger for just slightly more than an Aston-Martin.
Then again, I hear parallel parking is tougher with the Avenger...
Also, a Hawker Hunter for 35k? Wonder what's wrong with it...

Chairboy...you ever run into a cute blonde at 77S named Melanie?
-
They're all cute, but I never ask their names. It complicates things, I'd hate to put them to the inconvenience of having to testify in court.
-
Eh...you'd like her. She's a Pitts fanatic. Lost her number when I drowned a pre sim-card phone...sigh. What could have been ::staring into space::
