why is my vox slowing my game down and at times locking up my game?

Sounds like the sound device is sharing an interrupt with another high-data usage device, such as the video card, or network card.

Sound cards do not share interrupts well.

i had strange accident today

when one of guys start talking on voice my AH start freezing
thats happend only once today, before and after all was ok
i had flying like 3 hours today, no background application was opened, everything  in norm

Use the Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Information utility in Windows, expand the hardware listing, and select the IRQ list.

It will show how all the hardware interrupts are assigned.

ok Heres whats going on new computer new viedo card not on board now a new sound card and I'm still getting very slow game play and freezing up.
the problem with the slow video is offline too. I have a Athalon AMD xp2 64 with ati pci express video card 256mg and now a sound blaster card. I deleted video 8 from settings set everything to low as low still in the game its like im in slow motion! WTF I have my processes down to 29 out of 45 cpu spikes to 2 no more. any Ideas?
