On the contrary, the MOAT took a lot of groundwork over a couple of weeks because we knew the community was full of anything but suckers. Even then many didn't fall for it. And those who did should not feel suckered. It was not intended to shame anybody other than the BKs who bashed one another ad nauseum.

ROFL, yeah the planning was ridiculous. Pages upon pages, threads on top of threads in the squad forum... All based on planning and proper execution of the MOAT.
It ripped the squad apart but at the same time pulled it together in the likes never seen before.

Yeah, it did take a lot of planning, but it helped that I really do hate Hub, that part was a natural extention of everyday squad life. :)

I am only going to post on this subject once........I will not respond to any replys so no need to post them. I am sure you will anyway.
All it did from my perspective is completly piss me off.
I dont understant it at all. At this point I really dont care to understand it either. I was made a fool of and I will simply tally that up as another painfull lesson learned. As I told another BK..... It wont ever happen again..... Never.

Granted, I along with others are voicetrous on the BB. We'll get out of hand and step over the line. In which case skuzzy beats me up, sends male S&M strippers to my house to teach me a lesson and we all move on. But he'll never admit it.
Those who know, know its all in good fun and for laughs. Those who dont know us, take the game and what people say way too seriously and hate us for everything we are. Basicly the most important thing to take away from the MOAT is to lighten up once in a while. If you cant, oh well.

In a game? Absolutely not. I mean, I've gotten mad at the game before as anybody would do; like when you're mad that lag is so bad or you seem to have rubber bullets. But to get mad at people, like honest to God won't-answer-your-phone-if-they-tried-to-call-you mad, then no way. At some point you have to separate what happens in the game with what is real.

You're semi-meltdown was legendary in a sense in that we haven't seen that in a while and it was funny. And I mean that with the respect that another person has for another, after they both enjoyed a good laugh.
And as for the community, I think it shows that you as the community are worth the little bit of planning and coordination it took the BKs to pull it off, in the name of "High Jinks". <-- that loses a little someting in "Type" lol. You get the idea tho.

We laugh at ourselves, each other and everyone else cause things are funny. None of us have big egos and have to be the funniest, loudest, smartest... or the best AH fighter pilot of all time LOLH.
We enjoy the laughing and the fighting, but none of us prance around on our egos, Thank God.

I was once a newb and may still be considered a newb to many. I will tell of a mission posted by fester and the kind of treatment I got from Morpheus on this mission. We were all in hvy 38's taking the 10K base on "whatever" map its called. I was told to drop bombs and rocks on a particular hangar. As I approached my target in a shallow dive, Morph and many others were fighting over the lone enemy plane to up. The enemy plane must have flown near my attack path and momrpheus killshot himself on my passing 38. You should have heard the rant! It was genuine anger! now there's a WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOOOO! :-)

Things like someone close to me dying, winning large sums of money, getting into a car accident...ie things/people that are directly tied to me. This game is not one of them, nor is this board or any of you on it. I would never lose sleep or get angry, or become offended at what someone else says or does on this board. Go ahead and say Im wrong, but in the end I am right. Nothing anyone says on this board will have any impact on my real life. If it does for some of you then you have to seriously re-evaluate your life because you are taking this game way too personally and seriously.
I've made some awsome friends who also play this game. Done some things that I could never posibly do had it not been for this game and those friends I've made because of it. But it ends there. Dont think for a second that I would not call Mars, slapshot, stang, Badboy58, Icer, Wax or anyone else whome I've hung out with and drank beers with and shot the watermelon with, lame, a dweeb, gay, kill stealing punks, losers, runners, alt monkeys, or anything else you people can think on these boards or in the game... Looking back now.... yes it was completly obvious.
Recently becoming an "Offical" AH trainer has made me reflect on how I/others treat people in and around the game. I now, in a way represent HTC. Its something I take seriously. It really has made me check myself and to look more closly at the stuff that goes on in game and on the BB.

"A" is what I perceive as staying on this board. It's meaningless and not worthy to get upset or have any impact on you whatsoever. If I bite the hook and get called on it, I laugh, it's funny.
"B" is a serious RL matter that shouldn't be joked about. If I have no way of really helping I'll wish them luck, etc and carry on. If I could help, I would.
I just feel some people take the goofy stuff on this board way to serious. True some of it might be immature, but it's meaningless, so why let it get to you? I hope that clears it up a little.
Very well put, Super. It takes a couple of people lashing back for you to make these type of clear and concise statements. If you don't clear the water every now and then, you cant see the shallow rocks.

In regards to getting upset at the game? Sure, who doesnt. Todd said it perfectly. When I exit the game, so do my frustrations at the time for the game. And it is no different for this board.

Ded, I can only speak for myself on this, but I think if you look at the majority of "trolls", "pranks", "jokes", and "jabs" that some in your squad are accompanied with, you'll find a broader sense of disrespect towards the humanity in these occurances. I rarely if ever get annoyed by them enough to even comment. But a couple of comments made after the fact, brought me into this one.

one correction...
mega is the "big dog" he was chosen as the big dog after an exhaustive and hard fought election using the complex election rules that BK's have for any position in the squad. The tittle won't be official for a few days but then he will be able to sign using "big dog" in his sig.

You guys pulled off a really good one here. Especially Lev's first post in that now evaporated "About the BKs" thread... It was that sort of post that really made you nod your head with an approving smile and say "now that took fortitude. I respect him for that." Yeah, I know... That whole "respect" word that's such a no-no on these boards... Not gonna get into that argument. (I also realize no one needs my approval, so please, spare that retort, we're already on the same page).
Anyway, I really don't care how you all go about on this BB. Heck, much of the time I'm LMAO at all the Hub or Superdud jokes, or Dear Lasz moments, etc... Alot of the times I'm arguing on the BKs side for things like keeping the FHs up and such... And as for the rest of the times, well, if you all want to carry on like a bunch of teenagers getting piss drunk by a campfire with a can of beans, be my guest, it's your $15.00.
Just one suggestion... Next time, if a guy like Batfink sticks up for you, it'd be nice to PM him and fill him in at least instead of leading him on, turning around and throwing a pie in his face... That's just a messed up thing to do to any pal, whether it be to their face or over the internet. But heck, for all I know, one of you might have, so if you did, superb.
Anyway, no hard feelings on this end, and looking forward to running into you all in the game, it's always a blast.
