Ignore personally contacting him....It's all BS...everyone knows you CANNOT cheat in this game....  Record the rant he is sending you, and forward a copy to HTC and tell them he is attacking and harassing you...

trust me...fighting back and forth with these idiots isnt worth your time

Being called a cheater is the highest compliment.  It usually means you so outclass the guy accusing you he has to believe you cheated.  Wtg.

If it's written by a human it can be hacked by another one.  I doubt much is going on but it can happen and does.

JAZBO1, IN my opinion ignore the guy who called you a cheater, unless something really weird happened and then send an email to support@hitechcreations.com

I'll have to go wit Stang here.

I was called a cheater a while back. I juat laughed. Then went on to call every a cheater that night, including myself. Good, bad it didnt mater.. he finally got the message and buggered out. BTW it was someoen that came from te Microsoft Combat Flight sim, wger tere are rampant cheaters bcause everyone modifies the fligh models.

I pay it no mind and never take this game seriously. This is a game, right?

I.E. what to do when someone accuses you.

This thread is just on the edge of acceptible.

Dont know if there are any cheats out there nor do I care.

I think alot has to do with the equip your using. What I mean is (for example) since I switched from my Saitex X45 to the X52 I have alot better control over the aircraft. My guess is that it would seem that someone is doing something "impossible" but in reality the gear they are using allows them to do just that. I used to wonder how some guys can just seem to turn on a dime, but it comes down to experience and having the gear that allows you to get the most out of the aircraft.

Just my 2 cents

No Elyeh, every aircraft has limitations to it.  Some aircraft can do somethings, some can do others.

The only time I ever called cheating on someone was because they were moving their plane way out of the realm of what they should be able to do.

Getting beat is not a clue that you were cheated.

True....

But my point being is that with experience and good equip you can push the limitations of your plane all the way. I'm just saying from experience that with practice and the proper gear you can exploit the strenghts of your plane. I would bet that a good pilot but using bad gear would not be able to make his plane "dance" the way he does when using a good stick.

Maybe I'm wrong

Just to add...
If your using a stick thats so-so you get the mind set that "no way you can do that"

But get a good CH stick and all of a sudden you can do things you didnt think you could.

My point is a lot of people think your a cheat cause they cant do the same thing your doing. But maybe thier gear wont allow them to pull off those manuvers that a good stick will.  Hence being called a cheat

It's not like I was a n00b when I accused someone of cheating.  They were flying their plane way outside of the boundaries that should have been constricting them.

And it was way too much for it to be a small gain from good equipment.

lasersailor184,
I'm not doubting you sir.... some people will cheat regardless.

I'm just making a general statement to most of us that in the back of our minds we said to ourselves " he must be..." LOL    myself included.

What I was trying to relay to the general community is that think it through before you holler "cheater".

To those who actually "cheat" well if you have too, then you should reconsider why you play this sim.

Not to hijack here but on the subject of how equipment can affect game play

I just got an X45 and it rocks, except for one thing

The cup and disc (under the spring at the base of the stick) binds when you try to make a small adjustment, this means that when you apply enough pressure to break the bind you move further than you wanted.

The cause is the spring pressure and some people suggested using some sort of lube on the ring (Insert Bad Joke Here)

But someone else said they used some zip ties to partially compress the spring.

I tried this and it worked great.

Now my point is that if I was flying with the unmodified stick I would not be able to make those small adjustments that are needed for long range shots.

But with the modified stick I can make precise and accurate changes to my flight path when needed.

Compressing the spring may make the stick sloppy as the tension is what keeps the center point. Lubing seems to be the majority action of choice. When I used an X45 I used graphite. It worked fairly well and would not gunk up. It would get all over the bottom of the stick case though. There are several other suggestions that can be used. If you search on "Saitek X-45" you should find them.

The centering spring was the main reason I abandoned the X-45 in favor of a Ch setup. While the X-45 is a fine setup, even with lub, I could never get used to the lack of fine control at the center of stick movement.

Oh, and Jazbo, you have reached a milestone in your AH career.

Well, I actually never put lube on my cup anymore.  It just never sticks (I have an x45).

I do too. It sticks. Wire ties (helps some) & grease (doesn't help for long). :(

Jazbo, first want to make sure that everyone knows that I'm not accusing anyone of cheating at all. But I would like to ask you a favor.

Whenever I'm in the arena, and I see a plane warping all over the place, 9 times out of 10, it seems to be your squadie DiscoBud. Everything and everyone else is smooth as glass.

I don't think he even realizes how bad it gets. Really makes it a challenge to shoot the bugger down.:D Anyways can ya let him know? Thanks
