I'm not gonna start spouting my opinions about this in every thread possible here because there are too many of them and I have better things to do. But that animation and AKSeawulfe's cruise missle stepped over the line big time IMNSHO. Are you US people actually thinking what you are saying and what that little animation actually means. I am British,
We are allied with the USA and I want these guys out just as much as you guys do. There really is nothing I would like more than to send in Delta and kick the living mother of "$%*& out of them and get those guys home.
But realistically. If that happened then what would happen after that. This is a real WW3 starter and to be honest I don't want my children playing a game in 40 years time and shooting each other down in F16's F14's and F22's. This has the ability to blow up into something humungous. I mean that.
Allies know very little information about the Chinese anyways which is why the P3 was there in the first place. They have one of the largest airforces in the world and it's country has closed its borders.
Somewhere in this whole situation I smell a VERY big Rat. It all does not just add up in my mind but we will see.

Yes how dare us barbaric Americans want to get our people back ofter some ignorant sonofasqueak Chinese dickwad rams our plane and then their country takes our crew captive and demands us apologize for a incident they caused...yes sad..very sad...
How exasperating that we should be pissed at the scumbag of a nation that murders its own people..for taking our aircrew hostage just because one of their pilots was a total ignorant moron who repididly did very dangerous manuevers around our planes before finally managing to ram into one..killing his idiot self and nearly kiling a bunch of our folks..only to have us be blamed by for the accident by those lier commie sacks of toejam.... .yea how dare us be angry...

the plane was there to monitor their preparation to test a small scale nuke..which we new they were going to test...guess we do know a little about them.

Yep, China should release the crew, no doubt about it. But if they don't do it right away you among others on this board are ready to start a war. That's what I find sad. Anyways, I'm glad to see you are taking such an intelligent approach on this matter. Funked, there are quite a few US people on this forum "out of patience" as they say it. I think I'm the only finn that has given his opinion on those pics here so I think your logic only leads to that fact that I have no sense of humor. Our contries must have some severe cultural differences since some finnish people have actually said that I DO have sense of humor and I just don't find cruise missle attacks, air stikes and starting World War 3 funny at all...

Think if the situation was reversed, the Chinese pilots were stashed 10km from your house..
You would probably think its cool when the Chinese forces first cruise-missile your home area a little and then storm in to get the pilots. YOOOOHOOO cool! Not pissed off at all. Right? You SURE AS HELL would not want to nuke them to stoneage.. Nah.
Heheh.. And if you think YOUR government is not capable of holding foreign equipment to study it. Or it's not capable of holding illegally (even if it was emergency) entered foreign military personnel for questioning.. Think again.

I'm a member of the Radical Left here in the US, but I'll also have to say I was raised on the National Lampoon, and while I think the comedy expressed with the picture of the cruise missile and the animation were a little extreme, I found them entertaining.
Actually Wmaker, that's how you let off a little steam occasionally. It's that kind of stuff that keeps you from really wanting to do the real thing.
So stop getting your panties in a bunch. It's humor, and that's all. Kind of like the "Baby Harp Seal Clubbing Competition in the Olympics" type of thing.
What's REALLY scary is the thought that Eagler would probably volunteer to ride that missile a la Chill Wills to make sure it reached its target! Eeeek!

Wmaker...So a few people on this board think attacking China is a good idea, and our entire nation is now off kilter? I won't comment on Wobble's picture, because well, he's Wobble, and I try not to delve into his thought process (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif). I think attacking China would be stupid, and I found the picture that SW posted pretty damned funny. It doesn't advocate attacking China...it's humor, plain and simple.
I think we should kiss Chinas bellybutton as much as we need to, in order to get our airmen back. Whatever it takes, saying we're sorry, saying China is the greatest nation ever, whatever. Once we get 'em back, it's time to sever all ties with China. It may take a while, but they've proven themselves unreliable, and unable/unwilling to comply with international treaties. Piss on 'em. Hopefully they'll end up with a decent government someday soon.

WM don't let this forum shape your opinions of Americans. The people in this forum, especially the ones who post a lot, are largely a pretty weird and borderline mentally disabled group. And Wobble has managed to distinguish himself even among this "elite" group of fruitcakes. So if you take his opinion as representative of the whole USA, you are getting a horribly incorrect impression.
Also I think we must have a different sense of humor. For me (and most people I know), the humor in pictures, like the one in this thread and the "apology" missile, is because we are laughing at the whole idea that the US would go to war with China over this, because it is such an idiotic notion. It is so stupid that it is funny.

SOB, I didn't exactly mean that EVERYBODY in the USA thought the same way as many in this board. There are lot of great and not so great folks in USA, in China and in every country on this planet. I don't know any US citizens in person but I've met many great folks over the net that live there. I just found this "NUKE'EM-attitude" bit alarming.
The fact that USA had to apologize with the exact right words shows just how silly these things can get in the diplomatical level. It's like kids in the friggin' sand box..."You didnt say 'I'm sorry' nice enough, say it again!". What does Chinese Goverment think it gained with this apology? I think it's pretty obvious to the world why Bush apologized. But you are right SOB, it's well worth the lives and/or freedom of 24 people.

See the difference between a picture that's doctored up to be funny, and the real thing is... well one's intended to be a joke while the other is intended to start a war.

Wobble has a problem with people of an oriental origin.
He started just coming right out in the open by calling Japanese players 'gooks'.
A few people thought this pretty disgusting and he tried to appear respectable for a while.
He then periodically exploded over little things such as the light bulbs on this BB not working, before calming down and appearing 'normal'.
Recently he stated how much he hated China and Chinese people and after taking some flak, was a bit quiet.
He seems to be posting again now.
The Sine curve that is Wobble.
Like everyone says, I wouldn't take Wobble as being a prime example of the average American. Which is a good thing indeed.

Yep, suits my warpped, weird, cynical, and very "American" sense of humor!
Whether he meant it as a joke or not I don't care but really doubt if he is older than 18 or so and has done any time in the services he meant any way other than exactly the way 95% of us Americans took it.

I am sorry so many Europeans and others just do not understand our sense of humor..
When ya mix and match the peope from every country in the world, and pile them all into this country, mix and match all "their" different humor styles into one, it gets a bit muddled for most that do not live in this wonderful/terrible place to understand.
Basically folks, we don't care diddly about anything that we can't make fun of!
And it's much better for us to post funny little gifs than actually go over there and start a freking war that will destroy the world.

Actually, Im 21..I did a Coast Guard thing a while back when i was 12 but that was only so I could get a Boating license while I was under the legal age to drive one by myself. (boating skills ans seamanship course)
