I did a trace route to see if there is any problems. It looks like dallas?? att is dropping 100% packets, anyone having same issues?

By the way, I did a trace back to you, and was not seeing any packet loss from the Main Arena server.

Okay, I can access the old account history thru website. However, it wont let me update nor change cc, etc, etc. Does this mean the account is a goner? Purged?

Both show 100% packet loss at att.net points. However, I'll see how that goes in game, but it didnt used to be good. Odd, that you dont show it coming back to me tho.

Different route on the way back to you. Notice the packet loss is at a Sprint/AT&T gateway?
With it being an async route, it is hard to tell if the information is accurate.

Welp, no dice connecting to host using primary or alternate route. I have forwarded ports 2000-5000 to this computer. I am behind a linksys router. Using a PPoE connection.
It has to be the packetloss gig, or atleast the only thing I can think of.
Suggestions?

When you see the arena list, is the ping time showing in the right column?

I do not get to the arena list. All I get is "Cannot connect to host would you like to try alternate route?"
To which I answer "yes"
Then another 30secs
"Cannot connect to host"

So, you are not getting past the login screen. Different beast. You do not get to the arena until you select it from the list.
The login is handled by the registration server, which is on http://www.hitechcreations.com.
You said you are behind a firewall. Did you associate any IP addresses with the ports for Aces High II? They did change recently.

All I did today (I have not played the game for almost two years) was create a new account, after you found the server problem. Then since I could still not log-in, I forwarded ports 2000-5000 to the ip on this computer. It seems whatever you did, fixed the login server at http://www.hitechcreations.com when I use the browser, but for some reason it is not working for me when I launch the game.

Test: Set machine IP address in router DMZ. Failed. Can not connect to host.
FYI, until 2 weeks ago I as playing DAoC no probs connecting there. I have not changed any settings since, other than the port forwarding today.

Also check the version of the game you are running. If you are not running "Version 2.05 Patch 3", then you must update the game. Any version prior to that will not know where the authentication server is.
If you have "Version 2.05 Patch 2", you can use this. (http://downloads.hitechcreations.com/AH2051T2053.EXE) to update. If you have an earlier version, then go ahead and grab the latest release.
If you are running, "Version 2.05 Patch 3", and can get to the WEB page, but cannot get past the login to see the arena list, then something is blocking the port the game is trying to connect on to authenticate.

Well, what a dumbarse :confused: :eek: , I guess I downloaded the game before 10/07. How time flies. Used the p1 to p3 link, all good to go, least login in anyways.

I just tried to connect to H2H, but got the same connection error as mentioned previously in this thread. I haven't connected for a few months and have 2.04 patch 1. Will I have to download and install the full version? Will this install over my existing version? Will I loose all my game settings?

Hey mailman, you will not lose any game settings if you just download and install the UPDATE.

You can safely use 'Add/Remove Programs' (Windows Control Panel) to remove Aces High II and install the full version. It will not remove your 'settings'.
'Version 2.05 Patch 1' can be updated us using the same patch I listed above.

Mailman, you can also just backup you 'settings' folder and copy paste it into the new install.
