Europe is too far for the majority of the players.
The Con can't be in the south due to recent increase in hurricane danger. The North-east is out because of blizzard danger.
The north-west can't be the spot because other than the 3-4 people that live there, it would be difficult for others to adjust to the wide-open spaces.
West coast is defintely not good due to the risk of earthquakes.
That leaves only two real choices...........

Las Vegas or Las Vegas!

Blackjack, Craps, Poker, Slot machines, video poker, Nellis AFB, nightlife, Mustang Ranch (nothing to do with P-51's. If you gotta ask, don't go there),lots of convention centers, comped rooms, high-desert clean air,
and -
"What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!"

I went to DEFCON there this year, and it was freakin awesome. I would be glad to help with the arrangements. Im itchin to go to a con...last one i was at was the '97AW Con in Houston.

YES!!! Theres a complete arena in downtown Buffalo that used to house the Buffalo Sabres that we can have the run of.

Yeah, but people still gotta be able to fly into the con, and leave when it's over. Hard to do if there's 4 ft. of snow on the runways. And, do you really wanna be stuck in a convention hall with thiis group when the beer runs out and you can't go get anymore?:eek:

Erm....... yes, Aces High...... :) I think it will be in Dallas again as that is where all but one of them have been so far; the only exception was when Jordi organised one (2003) in Indianapolis....

As for a Euro/UK Convention...... we have had some kind of get-together/convention every year since 1997 that I know of, until last year. Unfortunately it seems nobody wants to be responsible for organising anything these days. There was a hint of something in November, but no further news has appeared and November is less than 2 days away......

Please again have it in that hotel with the steakhouse/microbrewery next door in between the hotel and the Bass Pro Shop. That's a great location, with excellent beer by the gallon and a live-fire shooting range within walking distance, and free eggs-to-order for breakfast.

the initiation is painful, but it is a "good" hurt, and you should be able to sit the next night.

Since Ronnie and Yankee won't be there to ogle, keeping an eye on Skuzzy is appropiate. if in the Rogue Gryffons suite a woman asks for tips to by a boob job, tip her. Never go to hooters with Flyy, Alpo, Tarmac, or especially JB73. Never follow them to a seedy topless bar, and lastly make sure to book the earliest tee time you can for saturday morning at the local golf course.
