Title: Talk show host loses it.
Post by: Ack-Ack on October 29, 2005, 11:51:36 PM
Don't know where this is from but it's funny as hell.

The talk show host is talking to a couple about some traumatic event but loses it every time the husband talks.

Could have sworn it was german.  That dude's voice was so funny, I'd be cracking up if I was in the crowd.

It wasnt german, so it must have been dutch.

Curval you euros are funny, why should a man be fired for excercising his God-given right to laugh at someones funky voice.

I ain't a Euro...check a map.  British yes, Euro...no.

I'm pretty darn sure that was Portugese they were speaking though.

Why would he be fired?  He offended the guests of the station...one of whom was in a wheelchair.

It's dutch. I'll post a rough translation within a day or two.

I can already tell you that they are speaking about problems in their sex life caused by the disability of the woman (she's in a wheelchair). Nothing to laugh about, but the guy's voice is unreal!

It must have been a real nightmare for the host... Have you noticed that NOBODY in the audience is laughing along?

Hilarious!

Yup, it's like a switch goes off and the harder you try not to laugh the more difficult it becomes...in fact you actually find yourself thinking how awful it must look to the audience and that makes you laugh even more.

...and yes, I have had an experience like that though not on televison.

Funny

He was OK when the woman spoke but as soon as the man started he couldn't help but laugh.

The show theme must be vocal deviants.
In the longer version, another man in the public speaks and re-triggers the host by his voice.

I had the impression that the show was one of comedy - the host doesn't make much effort to hide his laughter. Any professional would have bit their lip instead of bursting into laughter. The chance of it being ever aired would be even less remote.

That's why I think it was a comedy.

It goes something like this (for those not willing to click the link):

Interviewer: „You had a normal life before and then suddenly you come out of narcosis and you just know that life will ever be the same again. How did you react to that?”

Woman: “First I couldn’t believe it…”

Man: “Couldn’t believe it is actually exactly…”

Interviewer (laughing): “Sorry”

Man: “Couldn’t believe it is the exact feeling… it can’t be true…”

Interviewer: More laughing

Interviewer: “I am really sorry. Sorry ladies and gentlemen…

Man: “I don’t understand what is happening”

Interviewer: “So that meant that sexuality also became a big problem?”

Woman: “Yes, my husband made it clear to me, and I don’t blame him for that”

Man (interviewer giggling): “It feels as if you… when it is about sex… it is not only physical part of it, but also the sweet little words…”

Interviewer breaks down.

Can you translate for us the longer clip?

I'm praticular interested in what the other guy with very low and harsh voice said, and what the host is saying as he was describing the situation.
