Title: Editing Hardware / Software ?
Post by: Robert on October 30, 2005, 12:15:49 AM
Subject says it all. Reason i posted this here is to get some ideas
about what Hardware some ppl might be using. Is there anything
like a pen that works with the pc that i can get. I like to draw and
edit pictures but i feel like i could do better with a pencil rather than
the mouse. I did a search for Pc pencil but couldnt find anything.

yeap, tablets are great, improve performance and accuracy by 100 % also is very comfortable
when you get one, using mouse will not be the same  as is was before ;)

I disagree. My sister has had 2 separate tablets over the years and I've tried both when she didn't want them. I didn't want them either!!! You can't draw a smooth line from point to point like a pencil can. Instead the line squiggles just because all tablets are inherrently inaccurate. I prefer mouse use, as at least on the mouse your cursor tells you where you're making the mark, not some guesstimate about where the stylus is going to hit the tablet.

I just use a mouse. even when I was in art school I found the stylus pad akward and used the mouse instead. but that was about 7 years ago and my memory is pretty hazy about it hehe.

as long as you can input information where you want it the tools used are just tools some are better than others.
