I am having a brain fart, I cant remember for the life of me where the xp registration file is kept. Do any of you guys know off the top of your head?

There's no single file. Majority is stored in \Documents and Settings\username\ (for each user separately).
Look for NTUSER.DAT and other .DAT files...

Some chunks of registry are also in \windowsdirectory\system32\config\. Again, look for .DAT files.

Are you looking for the registration key?  There are freeware utilities on the web that will dig out the registration key so you can write it down...

I had a brain fart, missread registration for registry :o

EDIT: I think it is WPA.DBL
