Please..Can we Have Bomb Prood Re-Arm pads?


Pull In reload..roll..

This way we dotn have to shake our heads when some idiot comes screaming down to shoot you on re-arm pad...then augers.



I cant think of any reasons this is bad

Did bomb-proof rearm pads even excist?

I thought they'd reload the aircraft anywhere they could, instead of building a special hangar for it?

Maybe you mean the bomb-storage bunker?

RAF bult E-pens to help protect bomb damage and strafing.

its hard to see in this image but you can just make out the built up wall on the starboard side of the aircraft

it went round the a/c in a [_] shape with works access and quaters inside the walls.

Yeah, but they had to be wheeled into these by hand or by tractor. No way you'd get into one on your own. They only stopped planes that got hit next to them from spreading damage to other planes. While inside one of these any given plane was vulnerable. They just prevented chain reactions from destroying entire lines of aircraft.

it also helped prevent blast/shrapnel/ricochet damage and low level strafing.

not to mention protection for aircrew and groundcrew.

But this wasn't specially build for re-arming, and like Krusty said, they had to be towed in by hand/tractor, there's no way something like that could be done in Aces High.

I wish GreenCloud had some footage or source for his request

I think what he's saying is that he wants the hot-pad to be a "safe" spot where a plane can't be vultched while it re-arms, not necessarilly a structure at all.  To me that sounds a little too gamey for AH.  My feeling is that one of the chances you take when you hot pad is getting cherry picked.  If you don't like the odds then tower.  If FH or ord is down, then take your chances on the hot pad.  If you get cherry picked, you obviously don't have a cap on your own base...

The only thing I would be for around the hot pad would possibly be barage ballons to protect from dive bombing and straffing, but I don't know how historically accurate that would be.

The Skilless vote (as if he had one) is nay.

It is as easy as the 2 sided hangars..

ok it can be bomed or roketed..but just  a lawndart susiced idiot could not kill you

Skilless mayeb you dont rearm much but its a shame to have to end a fligth cuase of some fonzanoon no skill

Furball...defnlty ATLEAST teh build up walls..but 2-sided hangar would be nicer
