For whatever reason my local TRACON (KPDX approach) is at
http://www.live365.com/stations/cparris2
rather than at liveatc.net.  
I hope the maybe one other guy on this board that is interested found this post of value

Used to have an actual radio that allowed me to receive O'Hare transmissions.

Can't you intercept using standard CB radios?

I don't believe so. IIRC, ATC is on UHF and/or VHF.

Air traffic radio frequencies are 118-136 MHz

Maybe I was thinking UHF simply because it's what the military uses.
