i'z gots me a type IXc biznatch!!
Look for Fritz von Norman (my porn name) at Lorient, 2. Flotilla. U-593 - the one with multiple french non-hairy babes tanning on the deck.
-
You two must be eager to get killed....LOL
Awaiting Assignment now. Probably wont get to sail till Patrol 13. How unlucky is that.
-
Stick a post up in this forum (http://radioroom.wolvesatwar.org/viewforum.php?f=3) requesting urgent assignment. Then badger the CO of wherever you get assigned for a patrol grid quick. Patrol 13 wont kick off for around another 10 days, best to harass people to get you in quicker.

I'll probably just wait, I usually only play SHIII on the weekend, And probably need more than a week to play a patrol.
This Campaign is a first for me, Im playing on near 100% realisim, And starting in 1942 with a Type IX, will be a change for me. For Im more fond of the Type VII.
Like my Persona, Patrol 1 will be make or break. Ralph Münnich's U-187 was sunk on its first patrol. Thats kind of why I chose him. I didnt want a Tonnage Ace, I wanted a no name captain. :D
-
Do they give you a U-boat number?
I just signed up as Adelbert Burr.
Also whats the latest patch for SH3?
-
No, you would recieve the Boat number you chose, whichever one you entered in the reg form.
-
Well, it seems I didnt get the Hull # I requested, but Im awaiting response from BdU to get it changed.
Oct, Swoop, I got assigned to 2nd Flotilla as well! :D
Oh the latest patch for SH3 is 1.4b
I play 1.4b + RUB 1.44
-
This may sound stupid but where can i get RUB.1.44?

Patrol 13 and U-187's 1st Patrol are Completed and the Crew of U-187 are preparing to sail for the Caribbean. In Patrol 13 Ralph Munnich and his crew sank 7 ships for 62,000+ Tons. Narrowly escaped Depth Charges 300KM off Long Island, and even ran aground near the Outer Banks in Shallow Waters.
Munnich was awarded the Iron Cross. Two Boats from the 2nd Flotilla were lost, with some survivors.
Speaking of which where are Swoop and Oct? You guys back from Patrol? Drinks are on me when you return!
-
Yeah, I finished mine a day after the patrol assignments were given. Very boring patrol with only one ship for about 5k tons. Bad weather the whole way, and even with fuel conservation I was only able to patrol for a week or two just south of New York.
Isnt it time for patrol 14? :) Looong intervals.
(just checked... it's up, oops. but i was excluded again. :))
-
Im going to start 14 this weekend...
Did you get attacked in the Bay? Got spotted by a PBY just North of Spain in the Bay of Biscay, Dove to escape charges.
This is probably the latest Ive played in the game. This will have been my 4th Campaign since buying the game. Tell you the truth, It was only the 3rd time Ive ever seen a PBY.
The Mods that are coming to SHIII, will make this game live for a long time. Especially if they dont release a 4th installment.
