I wanted an AMD notebook, but I settled for this, adding a few things. It was a gift, so I suppose I can't be disappointed.

2.2 P-M, 2G DDR400RAM, NV43M 128MB GeForce Go 6600, 80G 7200 rpm hd, WXGA Display / 16:10.. wasn't even 2K total.
I'll take some pics later, as for my short review.. this thing is definately the feces. It's lightning fast at everything. Installing a fresh copy of AH now, well see how it performs.

congrts on the upgrade man, i hope it improves your experience as much as my spending £999 on a super graphic whizzer machine with enough ram to satisfy Joc's paddock all year round.
the sinlge best thing i ever purchased for AH2 was a second hand 21" monitor. from a 17" lcd jerky thing to this was the relief of hours of poor gunnery.

everybody knows Donatelo was the hardest turtle.

It goes back tomarrow for the rest of the RAM, ATM it's got 512.. the battery has been very good thus far, I sat at the coffee shop for at least 2.5 hrs trying to drain it, but it was still good at 35%. I noticed the 2.2Ghz slowed down to the high 700's when doing general net surfing.
I've set up a few Centrino notebooks, but all my systems are AMD.. even after just a few hours the Centrino hardware / software and usability is outstanding in this notebook. It was seconds before I was offered few wireless networks to hook up with, reception was all good... and the P-M screams.
Havent burned any DVD or CDs yet, the screen is extra sharp and crisp.. and as expected it gets hot as a mofo while on your lap.
As for AH, I had no JS, but launched a P51B on auto take off in off line mode. At a relatively low setting 1024x768 512 textures, the FPS was over 100 and looked to stablize in the 70's. After I get the rest of the ram tomarrow, I'll get it all set up. I'm eager to run BF2 as well.
The only 'bad' is that PC Club bloated it with lots of fecalware
Edit: the front mounted speakers are actually not too bad either, the card reader damm near fits every shape and you can play dvds if the video-out is plugged in, and cds, without booting into Windows. It didn't come with a remote, but the Ird supports one, or something. I can deal with the 7lbs., and the wireless picks up A, G and B.

is this xMarine aka RTmarine?

playin games on a laptop doesn't make sense to me... They cost a fortune to upgrade, choices are limited...
Give me a big box with lots of fans and stuff.

0847 was my MOS (job) = artellery meterology
Me and a few friends were gaming at our local water hole hitting the wireless G from the coffee shop next door, BF2, Americas Army and AH play very well on this machine.
At one point I looked behind me to see 7 beer holding dudes cheering me on "Kill that $^@$#!%#" they slurred
Of course there's always that one annoying Apple-Mac gestapo, he commented that 'Npower" was a crappy off brand name.. and I should of paid $1k for less hardware.. and bought a powerbook with a mighty G4.
I pointed out that Asus not only manufactures the Npower brand, but is the maker of Apple motherboards / notebooks as well (ecs might still make ibooks)....

is the name of this "watering hole" 'computer geeks inn'? ;)
bet many a bar brawl has erupted between the rival AMD vs Pentium gangs.
