LOL! :rofl :aok
What a card...
http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/PHI/9029398
T.O.'s mouth cost him millions in a long term contract. I believe the teams with the worse records get a shot at him before the trade deadline, no? No one will sign him for a long term contract. They'll sign him year to year, which in the long run cost him millions.
-
what a POS...Well basically Philly is outa the question now for a fantasy pick...
-
Im sorry I mean suicide pool pick...
Im going with either Carolina over the Jets....Or Chicago over SF...any thoughts?
-
Philly may not be as explosive without TO, but after watching them last night I think they'll still be alright. Need to stiffen up the defense, but the offense will be fine.
Cougar
-
Gid riddance to old rubbish. See if he can feed his family now.
-
I thought they went to him way too much anyway. Philly will be a better team.
-
He'll look great in silver and black.
-
he is good and deserves the money but shouldnt bash his teamates. he will end up in seattle or denver....
-
Old saying "you dont cr@p where you sleep'
Thats what he was doing.
In the end its gonna cost him millions because while sopmeone will take him. dont think any are going ot be willing ot pay him the kind of money he is used to or would have gotten had he just learned to grow up and STFU.
Feed his family?
If he cant he has nobody to blame but himself.
Same thing holds true with all of the superstars.
They all (the superstars) make more money in one year then most of us will have made our entire lifetimes.
None of em get any pity from me when I hear thm whine about their contracts "I have a family to feed" like they are payed below the poverty level or something.

I dunno. Davis has a thing for problem children. and the long ball
so he just might
But I dont know how well it would fit with both Moss AND TO on the feild?
so I dont think the word is "desperate" as much as it is is he that crazy?
One thing Davis WONT put up with though is badmouthing the organization.
Davis is known for not taking too kindly to that sort of thing.
If I were an owner considering him the only contract I'd offer would be one heavily based on performance, and performance linked to him not being benched or suspended. and him not being benched or suspended linked to the ability of him to keep his mouth shut.
Simple, Run your mouth too much and you find yourself not suspended but sitting on the bench watching and fetching Gator Aid for someone else collecting the money that coulda been yours.
-
Ban his arse out of the league and see if he can feed his family on a "normal" paycheck. $200,000 a game is sheer BS. I can't speak but how many of you make that in a year?

Superstar players:lol Screw em. There's tons of good players out there looking to play. Screw T.O. and the rest that are like em. Bunch of OVERPAID wimpy wuss dogs.
This is the first year in MANY that I haven't watched more than a quater or 2 of Pro Ball. It all is a disgrace and Drama queen Crap.
Kind of like the AH BBS at atimes. :rofl
College Ball. NOW THATS FUN BABY:aok
-
Crap, he will probably be a cowboy next year

You guys do realize that T.O. wasn't fired because he was running his mouth off...
He was fired because he was right.
God forbid Rush Limbaugh was right about how much of a ****up McNabb and Andy Reid are.

The one thing TO is famous for is badmouthing his teammates and the organization. Thus, we have the quandry.

TO wasnt "fired". First error. He's benched. Second, it wasnt JUST because of his mouth, it was because he
A) Assulted someone on their property (and he's damn lucky he didnt land that punch, or it would have been Battery and his butt would be in jail too).
B) Continuously insulted both the organization and his teammates after being warned to stop.
C) Committed other offenses which have not been named but have been alluded to, and I'm sure WILL be detailed should he continue to run his mouth (which I'm sure he will at some point, he cant help it).
Its been building for a long time, and he had to know he was going to get to this point if he kept pushing. Its just not in his nature to back down. He has to be up front, on top, in your face at all times. It's who he is.
Rush needs to stick to selling ties.
-
Great money saving ploy by the eagles cause they have allready given up on the playoffs much less the superbowl.
-
No kidding, Redtop. I agree. Professional team sports suck.
What a warped thing - companies getting politicians to finance stadiums with taxpayer money, and the same taxpayers being 'proud' of a bunch of over-paid prima donnas who can sit on a bench but still get millions of dollars per year and have no connection at all with a community.
You have to be a friggin' dimwit to be 'proud' of a professional sports team. Who cares if they win? Unless you've got some money on it... but gambling is illegal in almost every state, so we know that would never happen.
"Yeah! A bunch millionaire dunces won a game against another group of millionaire dunces and I got to spend a few hundred dollars to sit in the cold and watch it while enjoying a hotdog and coke for $18! Yeah! I am so proud and happy! Yahoo!"
Suckers. :huh

Right?
Of the about 2 dozen incidents and antics involving TO in the times he's been in philly what is it he's been right about?
LOL ok
And OJ didnt do it either

Thing with Davis though is he would be looking for and would exact payback.
Wouldnt surprise me if he signed TO. to a long term incentive laiden long term contract Then when TO did what TO does benches him for the remainder of that contract.
Wasnt there a QB he had he did that to?
Also Davis doesnt give a damn about league rules.
And it wouldnt surprise me if he would figure a way to punish TO in a manner that would certainly flirt with the very edges of legality.
-
The problem is, trading Owens is a longshot possibility. Any team that trades for Owens would inherit the contract that has caused the wide receiver so much angst over the past year. No team wants that situation on its hands.

His mama never told him "if you don't have anything good to say to someone, don't say anything at all" :rofl

You guys have heard me say it since the beginning.
Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb aren't worth the paper their contracts are printed on.
I just find it unfortunate that someone as good as T.O. gets punished for being the first to publicly say it.

Repeating something that is wrong does not make it right. It just makes you consistently wrong.

Seems like Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb didn't have much trouble getting to the NFC championship game before ol' TO came along. Just about any other NFC team would trade their right gonad to be in the situation Philly has had for the last 5 years.
TO is a cancer, good riddance. My sympathies to any team willing to pick him up after this is over.

well by "family" he means his wife and kids, mistresses, 'riod suppliers, bastard children, hanger-ons, etc. etc. you know, the usual leeches, agent, lawyers...
:D

God I hope that rumor is wrong. I am a Denver Fan and would hate to have TO on the Broncos.

They would go to the superbowl.

Naa the Raiders arent "The "Raiders" anymore Sadly
You know. the team that "lead the league in boos"
that whole persona, the mistique isnt what it used to be.
I loved the old Raiders. They were brutal barbarians then. If they didnt beat you they would at least beat you up.
They are just another football team now

You need to post this crap elsewhere, maybe amaze your family.
Karaya
PS - Keep "thinking" you are right.
-
Yes, Andy Reid and Donovon McNabb are the only reasons they got so far in the playoffs.
Because there are no other players or coaches, right?
-
So what are the Raiders...a 1/2 way house for the dregs of the NFL?
-

What has remained consistent about the Eagles organization over the last five years? What has not remained consistent? If others maximize the contribution of McNabb and Reid to the Eagles, you woefully minimize it.
Terrell Owens is wrong, you were wrong, and you remain wrong. Repeating it ad nauseum does not make you right, and it certainly doesn't make you seem prescient. It just makes you look insane.
-- Todd/Leviathn

What has remained constant are the amount of outstanding players and coaches that are on the eagles. Reid only gets a tiny bit of credit for this.
Most of the credit goes to Jeffrey Laurie.

If memory serves me right I think it was Marcus Allen that Al Davis benched because he was mad at him.
I'm fed up with pro sports, and all of the high paid prima donnas.
T.O.'s ability is far out weighed by the detrimental effects that he has on a teams cohesiveness.
T.O. and most of your high priced star athletes need to go back to basics. One of the first things I learned, and everyone should learn playing team sports is that there is no I in team.

We can thank free agency for that. Might as well be cheering for the laundry.

He was part of a team...become part of the solution...not a self rightjoust P.O.S.
He deserved what he got...and any team that hires him will have the same problem as soon as stuff starts to not go the way he thinks it should...he's a player not a coach or an owner..his job is to shut up and earn the overinflated pro-athlete paycheck he gets.

Imagine Owens on the Giants, Broncos or Seahawks.

Somehow I dont think he would have faired well in East Rutherford either.
Particularly if he made comments about Wellington Mara while he was still alive.
I say give him to Parcels
He'll knock that boy down a peg, or two or three in short order
-
You give him a decent quarterback and he'll be happy. Just know that if your QB starts ****ing up, you'll start hearing about it.
But you should hear about it anyway, right?

The dude only cares about the QB so he can look good catching passes..he's a grandstander..and is full of himself..I hope nobody hires him..
It is NOT a player's job to callout other players in a public forum.
