Title: Opera: Better than IE or Netscape ?
Post by: Staga on January 05, 2001, 11:37:00 PM
I've been using this Opera 5.01 (http://www.opera.com) about week now and I'm really pleased  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Before Opera I did use IE5, Netscape 4.xx and Netscape 6 but those really suck.
If you dont have "Java Run Time Enviroment" in your PC the size of download is 9,5MB and if you alrady got that the package is only 2MB.

Opera blows them both away in many areas.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Opera 4.02 here. I like it, but it does have it's quirks: Dealing with UBB board cookies, websites, like AH score page, that use Java. And it doesn't have the upload feature (for example, a file to an FTP sight)like Netscape can. So I keep both NEtscape and Opera on my PC. Netscape for the few times Opera can't or isn;t configured right to be able to handle somehting.

But Opera. Sweet program. Small and it uses next to no resources at all.
