Title: Did wartime FW-190A-3 to A-8's engines evolve?

Im sure 190A-9 had different radial engine but im not sure whatever happened to 190s A-3,4,5,6,7,8 when it comes to engine development.  The sources i've read so far indicates 190s A3 to A8 usedd BMW 801D...

Like most engines, they got tuned up to the limit. Crumpp has about the best data you can find within this forum and maybe he'll save some searching and provide a link. ?

It is kind of scattered all over the forums Angus.

I am in the middle of writing an article on the development of the BMW801 series.  When I finish I will post a few highlights here.

Starting from October 1944 the BMW801D-2 are indicated with 1800PS!
