general order #1- "To take charge of this post, and all government property within veiw, or hearing. Some wannabe a jarhead, I asked what his 1st general order was beins he was Staff Sgt.(E-6) in the crotch allready,.. I figured he'd know, at least his 1'st general order. Wanna know what he said, and i quote" To Kill, and do my ,....I cut him off, man the raw nerve of some folks. ..happy bd marines semper fi

I was 4/12, 3rd Marine Division, Vietnam 1969. We were in "Leatherneck Square" right on the DMZ.
Hulluava way to make a living :)
We are now celebrating 230 years of tradition, unmarred my even a single day of progress :)
