Engine still need some adjustments made...It's pretty quick though...but so far top end is only about 85 and it's supposed to be about 103mph

Very nice! I had one of these (my first bike) and loved it. Not super powerful but you can fix that (try oversizing the jets and installing a ram-air system on it - sorry can't remember the sizes or everything that I did to it, it was almost 30yrs ago ). It's a great little bike, easy to throw around and a whole bunch of fun on twisty roads.

Cheers,

My son gave me a 76' BMW R75/6..  I like riding an old "naked" bike with all of the pastic fantastic warriors out there.   I don't think it will go over 110 tho.   Will do low 13 sec quarters.  fast enough to go to the local Wall mart on..  It is a strange bike... so quiet (after new mufflers) that my girfriend and I can converse at 45 or 50 and as smooth at 85 as at 40.

Sweet bike. My dad would never let me own a bike. As a cop, had to write up too many bike accidents to stomach letting me have one. Then I married a gal who thought bikes were evil....wish I'da known that sooner . Now I'm just not that interested in 'em like I was in my youth. But pics like yours takes me back to the days of my youth, when I'd sneak rides on my buddies' bikes.

Lazs2, that's one really cherry ride. I know exactly what you mean about riding a "naked" bike like that, especially a beemer. Classic black with no frills, just wonderfully smooth German engineering.

P.S. can ya post a pic?
