The ENY values on the Spitfires and Bf109s seem very odd right now. They are as follows:
Bf109E-4: 55
Bf109F-4: 43
Bf109G-2: 42
Bf109G-6: 40
Bf109G-14: 55
Bf109K-4: 20
Seafire Mk II: 8
Spitfire Mk I: 60
Spitfire Mk V: 8
Spitfire Mk VIII: 5
Spitfire Mk IX: 8
Spitfire Mk XIV: 5
Spitfire Mk XVI: 5
Perhaps something like the following would work better:
Bf109E-4: 60
Bf109F-4: 45
Bf109G-2: 40
Bf109G-6: 40
Bf109G-14: 30
Bf109K-4: 20
Seafire Mk II: 15
Spitfire Mk I: 60
Spitfire Mk V: 35
Spitfire Mk VIII: 10
Spitfire Mk IX: 15
Spitfire Mk XIV: 5
Spitfire Mk XVI: 5

MkV 35? heh heh heh....riiiiight :P It's at least 20, I think
(*the preceeding was an opinion, brought to you by the Bush Administration, we tell you what to think*)

Krusty,
I'd agree about the old Mk Vc, but the new Mk Vb is anemic and has only 60 rounds per gun. That said I was waffleing between suggesting ENY 30 or ENY 35.

Doh, I keep forgetting. Okay I'm going to have to fly the spits for a while to see how they all perform now... They're all different!
We got a different engine in the spit9, too, right?

Nope, same old Merlin 61 it alwasy had. It lost the .50 cal and wing hard point options though.

I hate spitefires.

That's ok, I forgive you. :p

My guess is the ENY values havent been smoothed for new additions. The current higher ENY may encourage use of these new aircraft, to give players a feel for it and to get by the new release rush of players testing and flying eveyrthing. Later on the ENY can be properly adjusted to reflect usage.
eg,
109G14 has 55 ENY >> massive usage at first release >> usage averages out after a tour or two >> ENY adjusted to reflect average usage after time.
cos no way in hell a P40 is on par with the G14; usage or performance ;)

Octavius,
The ENY values were much different on Thursday after the release. Something like:
Spitfire Mk I: 60
Spitfire Mk V: 25
Spitfire Mk VIII: 12
Spitfire Mk IX: 15
Spitfire Mk XIV: 5
Spitfire Mk XVI: 7
Something weird happened since then.

oops, wasnt looking at the speetfiah ENY. Maybe it's linked with the unexpected perk disappearing act?

Looks like that database table got hosed and was not put back together correctly. It's fixed now.

SpitV should be about 50. Nobody's gonna fly it otherwise and not much then.
