That's the Davis-Monthan AFB boneyard. I happen to be staying at the RV camp about 300 meters from a part of it. Just south and west of the Wilmot gate.

To see the B-52s cut up and laid out per the Salt II agreements (so the Soviet's could see them from space) was wild to see! You can see what is left of the F-111 fleet as well as F-14 Tomcats, F-5 Freedom Fighters, A-4 Skyhawks and the list goes on and on! (if you look real close you will see a lone F-80/T-33 about mid picture just below a bunch of F-14s) I wouldn't be surprised if one of those old Hueys lined up there I flew back in the '70s and '80s!
Thanks for the post g00b! I really enjoyed zooming down and looking at those planes at Davis-Monthan.

saw a documentary on history channel i believe..."boneyard"....sad to see alot of memories being scrapped like that...also said they were retrofitting the f-4's as drone's for air to air missle practice...:cry
