I need info for color coding on 12.7mm DShk ammunition. Specifically, what color painted on the bullet tip means AP, what means tracer, etc. My internet speed is pretty slow, so I haven't been able to surf around enough to find what I need. Does anyone have a link I can jump to?

IIRC
1. Ball - Copper tip (No color).
2. AP - Black tip.
3. Tracer - Red tip.
4. Incendiary - Blue tip.

Purple tip?

Ahh, ignore my reply, which was for BMG. No clue what color codes ruskies have...

This is a question Estel or Bororda can answer for sure.

There was: B-30(AP), B-32 (API), BZF-46(API, Phosfor), BZT-44(APIT). Also there is MDZ (Incendiary, momentary ignition) and BS-41(named BS after 1972). BS-41 is the same as B-32 but for more width armour.
Color code:
B-30 Black cone.
B-32 Black cone and red line(sometimes brown line).
BZT-44 Purple cone and red line.
BZF-46 Yellow cone and black line.
MDZ solid red bullet (? I'm not sure about it).
BS-41 Black cone and large red line.
B-30 GL is not in production or use now.
