Does anyone have some page (etc.) telling sizes of low caliber ammo like 7.xx millimeter and 9mm.
I've been thinking of 3D modelling bullets for ... well, thats not important yet.
I'll put up a list also, so that if you have book or URL telling about dimensions for these bullets, I would greatly appreciate:
US:
7.62x63mm (.30-06)
7.62x33mm (.30, ex. M1 Carbine bullet)
11.45x22mm (.45 ACP)
German:
7.92x57mm
9x19mm (pistol/MP)
7.92x33mm
Russian:
7.62x54mm
7.65x21mm (pistol/MP)
British:
7.7x56mm (.303)
I have just found some URLs for these and necessarily not all in those that I'd like to know.
Dimensions for each part of the bullet and colour photos would be the best. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

7.62x63mm (.30-06)
For some reason, I was thinking this was .308

You got me thinking about this now (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) I'm searching around, but have only found some generic tables like this one: http://utenti.tripod.it/unita_di_misura/calibro_e.htm (http://utenti.tripod.it/unita_di_misura/calibro_e.htm)
The hunt is on!

OK.. you were correct. The 7.62x63mm was the 30-06. The .308 is a 7.62x51mm round and is commonly refered to as 7.62 "NATO".

What dimensions were you looking for in-particular Fishu? The dimmensions of the case (the 63mm refers to case length) or the size of the round... or the muzzel velocity of each?
By the way.. I'll take my 7mm Shooting Times Westerner (STW) and put it up against most rounds (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) 7x72mm (8mm Magnun necked down for a 7mm bullet).

now now now, let's just those wildcat STW's out of this (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
but they are awfully nice
hmmm.. anyone got a .22-250?
-
I used to use a .22-250 to hunt coyotes in Idaho. Its an excellent varmint calibre. BTW.. 7mm STW isn't a wildcat anymore... 3 different factories are pumping out the shells.
You can hunt varmint with a 7mm STW too... from 800 yards away (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Size and case lenghts / size of the rounds
Any possible lenght/size information and most likely pictures with those (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
I would be trying to make full 3D models of the bullets.

Thats .303, and thats what I wan't to make it look as 3D model also (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
But some important sizes are unknown to me.. like case round size etc.
Otherwise I believe that all those millimeter sizes are correct.
I made some studying for these, because I wanted to have bullets in millimeters and not in inches.

Like this?

Exactly! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

That's a .303 by the way. Let me know what others you need.

Fishu,
I've sent some images to your hotmail account. If this is no longer current, email me with your real address. My e-mail address is current (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Yup, it is still active even though I had to dig up your mail from that BS advertise mail mass. (be hotmail member - receive free advertises without need to sign anything!)
Thanks alot for those.
whee, that .308 looks 'slightly' bigger than .30-06 (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Try out version of .303
Just needs bit better colors and projectile shape (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

I'll get you the rest of them over the next week. It takes a little time to scan them in.
The .303 looks good btw (for a .303 (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)).
