Gentlemen, My latest video..
Sorry for the double post (in General also) but I figured some folks only read certain boards... Anyhow...
I won't claim that its a cinematic masterpiece, but it is a VERY energetic KILL FEST with a deserving sound track. And if past results are a clue, you'll all like this just fine.
After I got done rendering it I couldn't stand to see it in Low-Res so I have posted the high-res original in true 720x480 DV standard... And for those of you that don't have the patience for the RIDICULOUS 242 meg download, I have posted it in reduced resolution at 118 megs.
The names of the dead have been excluded to protect their L337 status :-)
Enjoy! And let me know if you like.
SUPER MEGA LARGE 242 MEG (http://www.planetstupid.com\die1.avi)
OR
SOMEWHAT MORE REASONABLE 118 Meg (http://www.planetstupid.com\die2.avi)

The above link has been replaced with a properly compressed version
Please use
20 Meg version (looks just as good) (http://www.planetstupid.com/die3.wmv)

great film kurt! enjoyed it alot, you havnt lost any of the speed and feeling of the dogfight.
how did you compress it down so much???
I have a 130MB film i really want to host but i need to get it down to about 80MB as a max, any suggestions?

You know Mech, I don't even know how I did that...
I just recently started using adobe Premier and I assume its just a matter of the product itself being so Highend. I'm not totally sure as I am still learning it... But this compression was effectively an accident.
I'm was using the Microsoft Media codec and I was stunned when I saw what happened. This is my first rendering with Adobe though, so I don't know if it was Adobe or MS that made it happen.
Frankly I'm still a little misty eyed about it :-D

LOL, got to love it when a computer makes a benificial mistake or uncommanded event
only reason i am so shocked is your film is almost perfect quality but yet so small. got a five minute film here of the same quality visualy and its over 130meg, i was using fraps to record video and a seperate music program for the sound effects.
thanks for the reply, I'll try messing with divx and winrar.

:rofl :rofl
had to watch the first time with the sound right down....
.....just heard..... 'gigge-d-gigge-d-gigge-d-gigge-d.........ooooooooh yeeeeaaaaah!' for the 262 kill almost wet meself. :aok

I love that part...
You see, when I go out to the living room after a hot fight I often end up telling my girlfriend what happened and I tend to make sound effects...
"I was right behind him like "takka takka takka""
Well, we both watch Family guy so it wasn't long before in the context of the stories I would say..
And I was droppin in on him 'Giggidy giggidy giggidy'
So it was an inside joke with me and my GF that I knew a lot of people would get a kick out of...
Thanks again.

Q in the 262 was hillarious

Nice video.
Man I wish id been flying those buffs. Coming in straight six as you consistently do.... muhaha! :D
-
lol, the 262 gets funnier everytime I see it!
:rofl
By the way, Mech, try using WMV9, it's a great compressor with little loss for the compression ratio it has. I believe that is the compressor Kurt used.
I say, use divx or wmv9(recommended).
